Mahaveer International’s Veera East Delhi Centre Spreads Joy at Arya Orphanage: Food Distribution, Educational Gifts and Compassion Touch the Lives of 500 Children
New Delhi: Reinforcing the values of compassion, humanity, and community service, the Veera East Delhi Centre of Mahaveer International organized a heartwarming Orphanage Visit and Food Distribution Programme at Arya Orphanage, Daryaganj, on Monday, 6 July 2026. The initiative was dedicated to bringing happiness, emotional support, and care to children residing at the orphanage while promoting the spirit of selfless service among society.
The programme was designed not merely as a food distribution drive but as an opportunity to spend meaningful time with the children, making them feel loved, valued, and connected with the larger community. Volunteers interacted warmly with the children, listened to their stories, encouraged them in their studies, and created an atmosphere filled with affection and positivity.
Arya Orphanage is home to nearly 500 children, with around 20 staff members working tirelessly for their care and welfare. During the programme, members of Veera East Delhi Centre personally served freshly prepared meals to every child with warmth and affection. The gesture reflected the belief that serving food with dignity and love is one of the highest forms of humanitarian service.
To make the occasion even more memorable, the children were presented with biscuits, chocolates, toys, water colours, crayons, coloured pencils, and various educational supplies. The gifts not only brought smiles to their faces but also encouraged creativity, learning, and joyful participation in educational activities. The atmosphere at the orphanage was filled with excitement as children enthusiastically received the gifts and interacted with the volunteers.
The programme also demonstrated the remarkable spirit of community participation. A generous contribution of ₹5,100 towards meals for all 500 children was made by Veera Anulekha Shah. Additionally, meals for the 20 staff members, amounting to ₹2,200, were collectively supported by Veera Anju Shrimali, Veera Beena Shrimali, Veera Anulekha Shah, Veera Anita Jain, Veera Mukta Dugad, Veera Purvi Mehta, Veera Vinita Jain, Veera Shweta Mehta, Veera Payal Jain, Veera Sapna Jain, and Veera Preeti Jain.
Further strengthening the spirit of giving, biscuits, chocolates, toys, and educational materials worth ₹4,600 were contributed by Mrs. Indra Shah, Mrs. Ankita Mehta, Veera Purvi Mehta, Veera Anju Shrimali, Veera Anita Jain, Veera Shweta Mehta, and Veera Ritika Rayakyan. Their generosity ensured that every child received meaningful gifts that would continue to benefit them beyond the event.
The programme witnessed the active participation of Treasurer Veera Beena Shrimali, Vice-Chairperson Veera Anulekha Shah, Veera Anju Shrimali, Veera Anita Jain, Veera Mukta Dugad, Veera Purvi Mehta, Veera Vinita Jain, Veera Shweta Mehta, Veera Payal Jain, Veera Sapna Jain, and Veera Preeti Jain, all of whom devoted their time and efforts to making the event memorable for the children.

नई दिल्ली। सेवा, करुणा और मानवता के मूल्यों को समाज में सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में महावीर इंटरनेशनल के वीरा पूर्वी दिल्ली केंद्र द्वारा 06 जुलाई 2026 (सोमवार) को आर्य अनाथालय, दरियागंज में अनाथालय भ्रमण एवं भोजन वितरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम केवल भोजन वितरण तक सीमित नहीं था, बल्कि उन बच्चों तक अपनापन, स्नेह और सामाजिक संवेदनशीलता का संदेश पहुंचाने का एक प्रेरणादायक प्रयास था, जो अपने परिवारों से दूर अनाथालय में जीवन व्यतीत कर रहे हैं।
कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य बच्चों के साथ आत्मीय समय बिताना, उन्हें यह महसूस कराना कि समाज उनके साथ खड़ा है, तथा सेवा और परोपकार की भावना को जन-जन तक पहुंचाना था। वीरा बहनों ने बच्चों से आत्मीय बातचीत की, उनके सपनों और रुचियों के बारे में जाना तथा उनके साथ समय बिताकर उन्हें परिवार जैसा स्नेह देने का प्रयास किया। इस आत्मीय संवाद ने पूरे वातावरण को भावनात्मक और सकारात्मक बना दिया।
आर्य अनाथालय में वर्तमान में लगभग 500 बच्चे निवास करते हैं, जिनकी देखभाल के लिए लगभग 20 कर्मचारी निरंतर सेवाएं दे रहे हैं। कार्यक्रम के दौरान सभी बच्चों को प्रेमपूर्वक अपने हाथों से भोजन परोसा गया। सेवा-भाव से परोसा गया यह भोजन केवल एक भोजन नहीं बल्कि अपनत्व, सम्मान और संवेदनशीलता का प्रतीक बन गया।
भोजन वितरण के पश्चात बच्चों को बिस्कुट, चॉकलेट, खिलौने, वाटर कलर्स, क्रेयॉन्स, रंगीन पेंसिलें तथा अन्य उपयोगी शैक्षणिक सामग्री भी भेंट की गई। इन उपहारों ने बच्चों के चेहरों पर मुस्कान बिखेर दी। बच्चों का उत्साह, उनकी खुशी और स्वयंसेविकाओं के प्रति उनका स्नेह इस कार्यक्रम की सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि बनकर सामने आया। शैक्षणिक सामग्री के माध्यम से बच्चों को शिक्षा, रचनात्मकता और आत्मविश्वास की दिशा में प्रेरित करने का भी प्रयास किया गया।

कार्यक्रम में कोषाध्यक्ष वीरा बीना श्रीमाल, उपाध्यक्ष वीरा अनुलेखा शाह, वीरा अंजू श्रीमाल, वीरा अनीता जैन, वीरा मुक्ता दुगड़, वीरा पूर्वी मेहता, वीरा विनीता जैन, वीरा श्वेता मेहता, वीरा पायल जैन, वीरा सपना जैन एवं वीरा प्रीति जैन ने सक्रिय सहभागिता निभाई। सभी ने बच्चों के साथ समय बिताकर उन्हें प्रोत्साहित किया और समाज में सेवा एवं संवेदनशीलता का संदेश दिया।
