Mahavir International Veera East Delhi Centre Organises Baby Kit Distribution Drive at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Promotes Maternal and Newborn Health Awareness
New Delhi, May 25, 2026: Demonstrating its commitment to social welfare, healthcare awareness, and humanitarian service, Mahavir International Veera East Delhi Centre organized a special Baby Kit Distribution Programme at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Khichripur, New Delhi. The initiative was conducted as part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to support underprivileged sections of society and promote awareness regarding maternal and newborn healthcare.
The programme focused on enhancing awareness about hygiene, infection prevention, and the overall well-being of newborn babies and their mothers during the crucial post-delivery period. Recognizing that the first few weeks after childbirth are vital for both mother and child, the organization aimed to provide practical support while educating families about essential healthcare practices.
During the event, hygienic baby kits were distributed among needy mothers admitted to the hospital. A total of 50 baby kits were provided to beneficiaries. Each kit was carefully prepared with items required for the basic care and comfort of newborn infants. The kits included two baby tops, two nappies, one baby cap, one baby sheet, and one towel. These essential items were selected to help mothers maintain cleanliness and provide proper care to their newborns during the early days of life.
Apart from the distribution of kits, members of the organization also interacted with mothers and their families, sharing valuable information about newborn care, maintaining hygiene, preventing infections, and ensuring a healthy environment for infants. नई दिल्ली, 25 मई 2026: समाज सेवा, मानव कल्याण और स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में निरंतर कार्य कर रही महावीर इंटरनेशनल वीरा ईस्ट दिल्ली सेंटर द्वारा लाल बहादुर शास्त्री अस्पताल, खिचड़ीपुर, नई दिल्ली में एक विशेष बेबी किट वितरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम नवजात शिशुओं और उनकी माताओं के स्वास्थ्य, स्वच्छता तथा संक्रमण से बचाव के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने के उद्देश्य से आयोजित किया गया।
आज के समय में मातृ एवं शिशु स्वास्थ्य को समाज की प्राथमिक आवश्यकताओं में माना जाता है। विशेष रूप से आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों के लिए प्रसव के बाद नवजात शिशु की देखभाल एक महत्वपूर्ण चुनौती होती है। इसी आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए महावीर इंटरनेशनल वीरा ईस्ट दिल्ली सेंटर ने इस सेवा अभियान की शुरुआत की, ताकि जरूरतमंद माताओं को आवश्यक सामग्री उपलब्ध कराई जा सके और उन्हें स्वास्थ्य संबंधी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी भी प्रदान की जा सके।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान अस्पताल में भर्ती जरूरतमंद माताओं को कुल 50 हाइजीनिक बेबी किट वितरित की गईं। प्रत्येक बेबी किट को नवजात शिशु की आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए तैयार किया गया था। इन किटों में दो टॉप, दो नैपी, एक टोपी, एक बेबी शीट और एक तौलिया शामिल था। यह सामग्री नवजात शिशुओं की शुरुआती देखभाल, स्वच्छता और आराम सुनिश्चित करने में सहायक है।
बेबी किट वितरण के साथ-साथ माताओं और उनके परिजनों को नवजात शिशुओं की उचित देखभाल, व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता, संक्रमण से बचाव, स्तनपान के महत्व तथा शुरुआती दिनों में अपनाई जाने वाली स्वास्थ्य सावधानियों के बारे में भी जानकारी दी गई। विशेषज्ञों और संस्था के सदस्यों ने बताया कि जन्म के बाद के शुरुआती दिन शिशु के स्वास्थ्य और विकास के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण होते हैं, इसलिए साफ-सफाई और उचित देखभाल विशेष महत्व रखती है।
कार्यक्रम में शामिल माताओं ने इस सेवा पहल के लिए संस्था का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि इस प्रकार की सहायता न केवल आर्थिक राहत प्रदान करती है, बल्कि उन्हें अपने बच्चों की बेहतर देखभाल के लिए आवश्यक जानकारी और आत्मविश्वास भी देती है। लाभार्थियों ने महावीर इंटरनेशनल वीरा ईस्ट दिल्ली सेंटर के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए इसे समाज के लिए प्रेरणादायक पहल बताया।

इस कार्यक्रम में संस्था की अध्यक्षा वीरा नीलू जैन के नेतृत्व में उपाध्यक्षा वीरा अनुलेखा शाह तथा आयोजन संयोजक वीरा अंजू श्रीमाल ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। इसके अलावा वीरा राखी दुग्गड़, वीरा हंसा मेहता, वीरा प्रीति जैन एवं वीरा अनीता जैन भी कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहीं और सभी ने सेवा भावना के साथ आयोजन को सफल बनाने में सक्रिय योगदान दिया।
