Maj Gen D R Rai Conducts Career Guidance Session for NDA Aspirants at Sainik School Amethi

Selection Centre East Commandant motivates students to pursue careers in the Armed Forces and prepare for NDA and SSB.

Major General D R Rai, SM, VSM, Commandant of Selection Centre East, visited Sainik School Amethi on May 17 to conduct the first-ever career guidance session for the school’s inaugural batch of National Defence Academy aspirants.

Addressing students of Classes XI and XII, the General Officer shared valuable insights on career opportunities in the Armed Forces, preparation strategies for the NDA written examination, and guidance for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview process.

During the interactive session, Maj Gen Rai emphasised the importance of discipline, determination, self-motivation, and strong moral values in achieving success both in military life and personal development.

He encouraged students to maintain a disciplined daily routine, cultivate leadership qualities, and imbibe Indian values while preparing themselves to serve the nation.

The General Officer also motivated the young aspirants to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building and emerge as future leaders of the country through dedication, integrity, and service to the nation.

The session highlighted the continued efforts of the Indian Army and Sainik Schools in nurturing future military leaders and inspiring youth to join the Armed Forces.
