Massive Eco-Awareness Drive on World Environment Day by Mothers L.S. Karma Foundation Across Rajasthan

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Mothers L.S. Karma Foundation, based in Bikaner, is spearheading a massive state-wide initiative to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living practices. With an unwavering commitment to climate action and grassroots outreach, the foundation, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Suman Choudhary, has announced an ambitious and impactful campaign across various districts of Rajasthan.
Dr. Choudhary informed that on June 5, 2025, the foundation will distribute one lakh cloth bags and fifty thousand paper envelopes, free of cost, to reduce the use of plastic and promote eco-friendly alternatives. These products are made from upcycled cloth and recycled newspapers, representing a community-driven push towards sustainability and waste minimization.
To officially launch this campaign, a grand poster unveiling ceremony was held under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Hari Babu Bagde, whose gracious presence added immense significance to the occasion. The event was marked by the presence of several eminent dignitaries and public representatives who extended their support to the cause of environmental stewardship.
The poster was released by these guests
- Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, who lauded the initiative for aligning with India’s national mission on climate and sustainability.
- Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Hon’ble Vasudev Devnani, who emphasized the role of civil society in achieving long-term ecological balance.
- Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, praised the initiative as a shining example of community action in addressing global environmental challenges.
- Dr. Vishwanath Meghwal, MLA from Khajuwala, and Shri Jethanand Vyas, MLA from Bikaner, lent their wholehearted support, urging constituents to join hands for green initiatives.
- Dr. Vimla Dukwal, National Vice President, Bharat Scouts and Guides, stressed the importance of youth involvement in the ecological movement.
- Prof. Dr. Digvijay Singh, Prof. Om Prakash Jakhar (Dean, ECB), and Prof. Shashikant Verma highlighted the role of academia in spreading climate literacy.
Prominent members of the Mothers L.S. Karma Foundation were also present, including Dr. Sunita Manda, Mrs. Neelam Beniwal, Mrs. Chandrakala Choudhary, Mrs. Shakuntala Choudhary, and Jyoti Choudhary, former Student Union President, Dungar College, among others.
The foundation’s program goes beyond symbolic gestures and seeks to instill behavioral change through grassroot participation, citizen engagement, and educational outreach. The use of eco-friendly bags and envelopes serves as both a practical alternative to plastic and a powerful message of collective responsibility.
The event marked a unique convergence of civil society, political leadership, and academia, all uniting for a common environmental cause. The organizers have also announced workshops, cleanliness drives, plantation campaigns, and school awareness sessions as part of the extended Environment Day celebrations.
Through this bold initiative, Mothers L.S. Karma Foundation has once again reaffirmed its place at the forefront of community development and ecological consciousness in Rajasthan.
राजस्थान के विभिन्न जिलों में विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर मदर्स एल एस कर्मा फाउंडेशन का भव्य जागरूकता अभियान

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर मदर्स एल एस कर्मा फाउंडेशन द्वारा राजस्थान के कई जिलों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए जन-जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। संस्था की अध्यक्षा डॉ सुमन चौधरी के नेतृत्व में यह अभियान राज्यभर में पर्यावरण के प्रति चेतना फैलाने के उद्देश्य से आयोजित किया गया है।
डॉ. चौधरी ने जानकारी दी कि 5 जून को एक लाख कपड़े से बने थैलों और पचास हज़ार अखबार/काग़ज़ से बने लिफ़ाफों का निःशुल्क वितरण किया जाएगा, जिससे प्लास्टिक के उपयोग में कमी लाई जा सके और लोग पुनः उपयोगी व इको-फ्रेंडली विकल्पों की ओर प्रोत्साहित हों। ये सभी उत्पाद स्थानीय कारीगरों द्वारा बनाए गए हैं, जो इस अभियान को एक सामाजिक स्वरूप भी प्रदान करते हैं।
इस अभियान की औपचारिक शुरुआत राजस्थान के महामहिम राज्यपाल श्री हरिभाऊ बागड़े के कर-कमलों द्वारा पोस्टर विमोचन के साथ हुई। इस गरिमामय अवसर पर कई गणमान्य अतिथियों और जनप्रतिनिधियों ने अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करवाई और पर्यावरण संरक्षण को लेकर अपने विचार साझा किए।
पोस्टर विमोचन अवसर पर उपस्थित प्रमुख अतिथियों में शामिल रहे:
- केंद्रीय विधि एवं न्याय मंत्री श्री अर्जुनराम मेघवाल, जिन्होंने इस पहल को राष्ट्रीय जलवायु लक्ष्य के अनुरूप बताया और इसकी सराहना की।
- राजस्थान विधानसभा अध्यक्ष माननीय वासुदेव देवनानी, जिन्होंने कहा कि समाज की सक्रिय भागीदारी से ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण संभव है।
- राजस्थान सरकार के उपमुख्यमंत्री डॉ. प्रेमचंद बैरवा, जिन्होंने इसे सामुदायिक स्तर पर पर्यावरणीय चेतना का सशक्त उदाहरण बताया।
- खाजूवाला विधायक डॉ. विश्वनाथ मेघवाल और बीकानेर विधायक श्री जेठानंद व्यास ने कार्यक्रम को क्षेत्रीय जनता से जोड़ने का आग्रह किया।
- डॉ. विमला डुकवाल, राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष, भारतीय स्काउट्स एंड गाइड्स, ने युवाओं की भागीदारी को निर्णायक बताया।
- प्रो. डॉ. दिग्विजय सिंह, प्रो. ओमप्रकाश जाखड़ (डीन, ईसीबी), एवं प्रो. शशिकांत वर्मा ने शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में जलवायु शिक्षा की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
फाउंडेशन के सक्रिय पदाधिकारी जैसे डॉ. सुनीता मंडा, श्रीमती नीलम बेनीवाल, श्रीमती चंद्रकला चौधरी, श्रीमती शकुंतला चौधरी, तथा पूर्व छात्रसंघ अध्यक्ष ज्योति चौधरी भी कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहीं।
यह कार्यक्रम केवल प्रतीकात्मक नहीं, बल्कि व्यावहारिक बदलाव की दिशा में उठाया गया ठोस कदम है, जिसमें नागरिकों को पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी के प्रति जागरूक किया जा रहा है। कपड़े के थैलों व काग़ज़ी लिफ़ाफों का वितरण एक पर्यावरणीय विकल्प ही नहीं, बल्कि एक सामाजिक संदेश भी है।
कार्यक्रम के तहत पोस्टर विमोचन के अतिरिक्त साफ-सफाई अभियान, पौधारोपण, कार्यशालाएं, व विद्यालयों में जागरूकता सत्र भी आयोजित किए जाएंगे, जिससे यह अभियान एक स्थायी और समावेशी प्रभाव छोड़ सके।
मदर्स एल एस कर्मा फाउंडेशन ने इस पहल के माध्यम से एक बार फिर यह सिद्ध कर दिया है कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण के क्षेत्र में समुदाय की भूमिका कितनी प्रभावशाली और आवश्यक है।
