Nirwan University and ICMR Successfully Organise Research Methodology Workshop in Jaipur

Jaipur — Nirwan University’s Rajasthan Dental College & Hospital, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), successfully organised a three-day Research Methodology Workshop from August 21 to 23 at Hotel Hyatt Place, Jaipur. The workshop emerged as a crucial platform for young researchers, medical professionals, and academicians to strengthen their research skills and align with global standards of evidence-based medicine.

With over 200 participants, including PhD scholars, postgraduate students, and faculty from diverse medical and allied science disciplines, the event underlined the importance of structured training in research practices. The sessions covered everything from hypothesis formulation and study design to statistical tools, ethical issues, regulatory approvals, and even the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical research.

Experts’ Guidance: A Blend of Knowledge and Experience

Renowned experts such as Dr. V. M. Katoch, former DG-ICMR, Dr. Atul Janneja, Dr. Sunita Saxena, Dr. Kiran Katoch, Dr. Rajbabu Panwar, Dr. Reshu Gupta, Dr. Satish M. Prasad, Dr. Rupak Kumar, and Dr. Geetanjali Sagina guided participants through critical aspects of research. They highlighted the significance of ethical integrity, methodological precision, and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing scientific inquiry.

Special focus was given to statistical software training, research protocol development, and scientific writing for international journals, which participants found especially beneficial. Several attendees appreciated how practical demonstrations made complex concepts accessible.

Inaugural and Valedictory Sessions

The inaugural session witnessed the presence of Nirwan University leadership, including Chairperson Dr. S. L. Sihag, Vice Chairperson Dr. R. K. Arora, Vice Chancellor Prof. S. L. Godara, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Bhavna Detha, Registrar Dr. C. M. Rajoria, and Principal of Rajasthan Dental College, Dr. H. L. Gupta.

In his keynote address, Dr. V. M. Katoch emphasised that while India is advancing rapidly in medical sciences, researchers must maintain rigor, transparency, and ethics in their work to contribute meaningfully to the global scientific community.

The workshop concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution, where participants expressed gratitude towards the organisers. They described the programme as “inspiring, well-organised, and highly impactful”.

A Step Towards Evidence-Based Medicine

The workshop marked a significant step in empowering more than 200 young researchers with tools to conduct quality research. By integrating traditional research methodology with modern innovations such as AI, the initiative is expected to boost India’s contribution to global healthcare research and strengthen the foundation of evidence-based medical practice.

जयपुर — निर्वाण विश्वविद्यालय, जयपुर के राजस्थान डेंटल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल एवं भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (ICMR) के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में 21 से 23 अगस्त तक होटल हयात प्लेस, जयपुर में तीन दिवसीय शोध पद्धति कार्यशाला का सफल आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यशाला का मुख्य उद्देश्य युवा शोधार्थियों, चिकित्सा पेशेवरों और शिक्षाविदों को शोध कौशल में सशक्त बनाना और उन्हें साक्ष्य-आधारित चिकित्सा विज्ञान की दिशा में अग्रसर करना था।

इस कार्यशाला में 200 से अधिक प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया, जिनमें विभिन्न शाखाओं के पीएचडी शोधार्थी एवं स्नातकोत्तर छात्र शामिल थे। कार्यशाला के दौरान शोध की परिकल्पना निर्माण, शोध डिज़ाइन, नैतिक मुद्दे, सांख्यिकीय उपकरणों का प्रयोग, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) की भूमिका, शोध अनुदान और नियामक अनुमोदन जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई।

विशेषज्ञों का मार्गदर्शन

इस कार्यशाला में देश के प्रतिष्ठित विशेषज्ञों – डॉ. वी.एम. कटोच, डॉ. अतुल जनेजा, डॉ. सुनीता सक्सेना, डॉ. किरण कटोच, डॉ. राजबाबू पंवार, डॉ. रेशु गुप्ता, डॉ. सतीश एम. प्रसाद, डॉ. रूपक कुमार और डॉ. गीतांजलि सगीना – ने शोध के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया।

विशेषकर सांख्यिकीय सॉफ़्टवेयर, शोध प्रोटोकॉल डिज़ाइन और शोध पत्र लेखन से जुड़े सत्र प्रतिभागियों को अत्यंत उपयोगी लगे। कई प्रतिभागियों ने कहा कि व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण ने जटिल विषयों को आसान और रोचक बना दिया।

उद्घाटन और समापन सत्र

उद्घाटन सत्र में निर्वाण विश्वविद्यालय के चेयरपर्सन डॉ. एस.एल. सिहाग, वाइस चेयरपर्सन डॉ. आर.के. अरोड़ा, कुलपति प्रो. एस.एल. गोदारा, उपकुलपति प्रो. भावना देथा, कुलसचिव डॉ. सी.एम. राजोरिया एवं राजस्थान डेंटल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल के प्राचार्य डॉ. एच.एल. गुप्ता उपस्थित रहे।

अपने संबोधन में डॉ. वी.एम. कटोच ने कहा कि भारत चिकित्सा विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है, लेकिन शोध में कठोरता, पारदर्शिता और नैतिकता बनाए रखना अनिवार्य है।

कार्यशाला का समापन प्रमाणपत्र वितरण एवं वैलेडिक्टरी सत्र के साथ हुआ, जिसमें प्रतिभागियों ने आयोजकों का आभार व्यक्त किया और इसे “प्रेरणादायक, सुव्यवस्थित और अत्यंत प्रभावशाली” बताया।

चिकित्सा विज्ञान में नई दिशा

यह कार्यशाला 200 से अधिक युवा शोधार्थियों को सशक्त बनाते हुए साक्ष्य-आधारित चिकित्सा विज्ञान को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर सिद्ध हुई। आधुनिक तकनीक और पारंपरिक शोध पद्धति के मेल से भारत की शोध क्षमताओं को नई दिशा मिलेगी।
