Outgoing Sapta Shakti Commander Lt Gen Manjinder Singh Calls on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Reviews Operational Readiness and Reaffirms Commitment to National Security
New Delhi: In a significant development marking the conclusion of his tenure as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Sapta Shakti Command, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and presented a comprehensive assessment of the operational preparedness and strategic readiness of one of the Indian Army’s most important operational commands.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh briefed the Defence Minister on the overall security environment, the command’s operational preparedness, and the sustained efforts undertaken to maintain a high state of combat readiness across all military domains. The discussion covered the command’s continuous focus on ensuring seamless coordination between various arms and services while remaining prepared to respond effectively to evolving security challenges.
Sapta Shakti Command, headquartered at Jaipur, is one of the Indian Army’s key operational commands responsible for safeguarding India’s western frontier. The command plays a crucial role in maintaining vigilance along strategically sensitive sectors, ensuring rapid mobilisation capability, enhancing surveillance, and conducting regular operational exercises aimed at strengthening national defence preparedness.
During the interaction, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh emphasized that the command has continued to maintain a high level of operational preparedness while simultaneously integrating modern technologies, force multipliers, and advanced military capabilities to address emerging battlefield requirements. He highlighted the importance of maintaining readiness across land, air-supported operations, surveillance networks, intelligence integration, logistics, cyber-enabled capabilities, and other multidomain operational environments.
The Army Commander also reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Sapta Shakti Command towards achieving India’s broader national security objectives. He underlined that every formation under the command remains fully prepared to undertake any operational task entrusted by the nation while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, operational efficiency, and combat effectiveness.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appreciated the dedication, professionalism, and operational commitment displayed by the officers and soldiers of Sapta Shakti Command. The interaction reflected the government’s continued emphasis on maintaining a modern, agile, and combat-ready Indian Army capable of addressing both conventional and emerging security challenges.
The visit assumed additional significance as it marked the culmination of Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh’s tenure as Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command. Under his leadership, the command remained focused on strengthening operational preparedness, enhancing military capabilities, promoting technological integration, and ensuring constant readiness along India’s strategically important western theatre.
His tenure witnessed sustained efforts towards improving operational efficiency, strengthening jointness among military formations, and reinforcing the Indian Army’s commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity. As he concludes his command responsibilities, Sapta Shakti Command continues to remain one of the Indian Army’s most capable and strategically significant operational formations, fully committed to defending the nation’s interests under all circumstances.

सप्त शक्ति कमान के आर्मी कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह ने रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह से की मुलाकात, ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों की दी विस्तृत जानकारी; कार्यकाल के समापन पर राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के प्रति दोहराई अटूट प्रतिबद्धता
नई दिल्ली: भारतीय सेना की पश्चिमी सीमा की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी संभालने वाली सप्त शक्ति कमान के जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ (GOC-in-C) लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह ने अपने कार्यकाल के समापन से पहले रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस दौरान उन्होंने रक्षा मंत्री को कमान की ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों, सुरक्षा व्यवस्था, युद्धक क्षमता तथा राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़े विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर विस्तृत जानकारी दी।
बैठक के दौरान लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह ने रक्षा मंत्री को बताया कि सप्त शक्ति कमान निरंतर सभी सैन्य क्षेत्रों में उच्च स्तर की ऑपरेशनल तैयारी बनाए हुए है। बदलते सुरक्षा परिदृश्य, आधुनिक युद्ध की चुनौतियों तथा बहुआयामी सैन्य अभियानों को ध्यान में रखते हुए कमान लगातार अपनी युद्धक क्षमता को और मजबूत कर रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि कमान की सभी फॉर्मेशन किसी भी परिस्थिति में तत्काल कार्रवाई के लिए पूर्ण रूप से तैयार हैं।
जयपुर स्थित सप्त शक्ति कमान भारतीय सेना की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण ऑपरेशनल कमानों में से एक है, जिसकी जिम्मेदारी भारत की पश्चिमी सीमाओं पर सुरक्षा बनाए रखना, सीमा क्षेत्रों में सैन्य तैयारियों को मजबूत करना, आधुनिक सैन्य तकनीकों को अपनाना तथा किसी भी संभावित चुनौती का प्रभावी ढंग से मुकाबला करना है। यह कमान नियमित सैन्य अभ्यास, निगरानी, इंटेलिजेंस समन्वय, लॉजिस्टिक नेटवर्क तथा संयुक्त सैन्य अभियानों के माध्यम से अपनी तैयारियों को लगातार मजबूत करती रहती है।
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह ने रक्षा मंत्री को बताया कि कमान ने पारंपरिक सैन्य क्षमता के साथ-साथ आधुनिक तकनीकों, उन्नत निगरानी प्रणालियों, साइबर क्षमताओं, इंटेलिजेंस इंटीग्रेशन तथा मल्टी-डोमेन ऑपरेशंस के क्षेत्र में भी महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति की है। उनका कहना था कि भविष्य के युद्ध केवल पारंपरिक युद्धक्षेत्र तक सीमित नहीं रहेंगे, बल्कि तकनीकी और सूचना आधारित युद्ध भी उतने ही महत्वपूर्ण होंगे। इसी दृष्टिकोण से सप्त शक्ति कमान लगातार स्वयं को आधुनिक बना रही है।
उन्होंने यह भी दोहराया कि सप्त शक्ति कमान भारत की व्यापक राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा रणनीति के प्रति पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है और भारतीय सेना का प्रत्येक अधिकारी तथा जवान राष्ट्र की संप्रभुता, अखंडता और सुरक्षा के लिए हर समय तैयार है। कमान का उद्देश्य केवल सीमाओं की रक्षा करना ही नहीं, बल्कि किसी भी उभरते सुरक्षा खतरे का समय रहते प्रभावी उत्तर देने की क्षमता बनाए रखना भी है।
रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने सप्त शक्ति कमान के अधिकारियों एवं सैनिकों की पेशेवर दक्षता, अनुशासन और राष्ट्र सेवा के प्रति समर्पण की सराहना की। उन्होंने भारतीय सेना की उच्च स्तरीय ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों पर संतोष व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि देश की सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है और भारतीय सेना हर चुनौती का सामना करने में पूरी तरह सक्षम है।
यह मुलाकात इसलिए भी विशेष रही क्योंकि इसके साथ ही लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह का सप्त शक्ति कमान के आर्मी कमांडर के रूप में कार्यकाल समाप्त हुआ। उनके नेतृत्व में कमान ने ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों को और मजबूत करने, आधुनिक सैन्य तकनीकों के समावेश, युद्धक क्षमता में वृद्धि तथा राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के व्यापक उद्देश्यों को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किए। उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान सप्त शक्ति कमान ने अपनी पेशेवर दक्षता, रणनीतिक क्षमता और युद्धक तत्परता को और अधिक सुदृढ़ किया, जो भविष्य में भी भारतीय सेना की पश्चिमी सीमाओं की सुरक्षा में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती रहेगी।
