In a significant breakthrough in India’s ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism and separatist propaganda, the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has identified a Punjab-based suspect who was allegedly in direct contact with Pakistan-backed terrorist operatives and actively involved in circulating anti-India content on social media. The suspect, identified as Gurvinder Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran district in Punjab, is now at the center of a high-level investigation after digital evidence revealed his alleged links with The Resistance Front (TRF), a Pakistan-supported terror outfit that functions as a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The case has sent shockwaves through India’s security establishment because investigators believe the accused was not merely posting inflammatory content online, but was allegedly discussing plans to procure sophisticated weapons such as AK-47 rifles and grenades, exploring the possibility of carrying out bomb blasts, and transmitting sensitive videos of Border Security Force (BSF) posts to handlers based across the border in Pakistan.
Social Media Monitoring by Rajasthan ATS Exposes Suspicious Online Activities
The investigation was initiated by the Social Media Monitoring Branch of Rajasthan ATS, which continuously scans digital platforms to detect extremist propaganda, separatist narratives, and anti-national content. Acting under the direction of Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN, who heads ATS, AGTF, and ANTF, and under the supervision of Inspector General Rajesh Singh, the agency launched a detailed probe after noticing repeated pro-Khalistan and pro-Pakistan posts originating from the suspect’s accounts.
Officials stated that Gurvinder Singh’s social media profiles contained numerous audio clips, videos, comments, and posts supporting Khalistani separatism and openly praising Pakistan. The content included inflammatory propaganda designed to incite hatred against India and glorify anti-national elements.
Inspector Nisha Chawaria-Led Team Conducts Detailed Investigation
The suspicious activity was first detected by a team led by Police Inspector Nisha Chawaria, who heads the social media surveillance unit of Rajasthan ATS. After collecting preliminary digital evidence, ATS dispatched a field team to Punjab under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh.
During on-ground questioning and forensic analysis of the suspect’s mobile phone and social media accounts, investigators uncovered a substantial amount of incriminating material, indicating that the accused was in touch with individuals linked to terrorist organizations and separatist networks.
Facebook Messenger Chats Reveal Communication with TRF Operatives
One of the most alarming findings was the discovery of Facebook Messenger conversations between the suspect and individuals believed to be associated with The Resistance Front (TRF). These chats allegedly contained discussions about obtaining assault rifles such as AK-47s and military-grade grenades.
Investigators also recovered voice notes and text messages discussing plans for bomb blasts, suggesting that the suspect may have been exploring or facilitating terror-related activities within India.
The nature of these communications has raised grave concerns within intelligence circles, as they point to a potentially active effort to coordinate violent actions rather than merely engage in online propaganda.
BSF Post Video Shared with Pakistan-Based Handlers
Security agencies were particularly alarmed after discovering that the accused had allegedly recorded a video of a BSF post located in a restricted border area and sent it to contacts based in Pakistan.
Such actions are considered extremely serious because visual intelligence regarding border installations can be used by hostile actors for reconnaissance, planning infiltration attempts, or targeting Indian security assets.
Officials said this aspect of the investigation has significantly elevated the severity of the case and prompted deeper scrutiny of the suspect’s communications and movements.
Support for Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and SFJ Videos Found
Investigators also found that Gurvinder Singh had been regularly sharing videos of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of the banned separatist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which advocates for the creation of Khalistan.
Pannun has repeatedly issued threats against India and Indian institutions. The circulation of his videos and speeches by the suspect further strengthened investigators’ suspicion that he was ideologically aligned with extremist separatist agendas and actively promoting them among online audiences.
Evidence Suggests Links with Separatist and Extremist Networks
According to ATS officials, the recovered material indicates that the accused was in contact with individuals and organizations advocating separatism and possibly facilitating terrorism.
Authorities are examining whether Gurvinder Singh was acting independently as a radicalized sympathizer or as part of a broader network tasked with spreading propaganda, gathering sensitive information, and supporting violent activities.
The digital trail suggests that he may have been functioning as an online conduit for hostile elements seeking to exploit social media to destabilize India.
FIR Registered in Punjab Under BNS and IT Act
Based on information provided by Rajasthan ATS, an FIR has been registered against Gurvinder Singh at Police Station Sadar Patti in Tarn Taran district, Punjab.
The case has been filed under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act.
The registration of the FIR marks the beginning of a more extensive legal and investigative process, which may involve custodial interrogation, forensic examination of electronic devices, and identification of other possible associates.
Dinesh MN Says Strong Action Against Anti-National Activities
ADG Dinesh MN emphasized that Rajasthan ATS remains committed to taking firm action against individuals using digital platforms to promote anti-national ideologies and maintain contact with terrorist entities.
He stated that social media has increasingly become a tool for radicalization, recruitment, and coordination, making cyber surveillance an essential pillar of modern counter-terrorism efforts.

सोशल मीडिया पर प्रो-खालिस्तान और प्रो-पाकिस्तान कंटेंट से शुरू हुई जांच ने खोले बेहद गंभीर राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा खतरे के संकेत
भारत की आंतरिक सुरक्षा और सीमाई रक्षा व्यवस्था के लिए गंभीर चिंता पैदा करने वाले एक महत्वपूर्ण घटनाक्रम में राजस्थान एंटी टेररिस्ट स्क्वॉड (एटीएस) ने सोशल मीडिया के जरिए संचालित किए जा रहे एक संदिग्ध नेटवर्क का पर्दाफाश किया है। इस जांच में पंजाब के तरनतारन जिले के रहने वाले गुरविंदर सिंह नामक युवक की पहचान की गई है, जो प्रारंभिक जांच के अनुसार पाकिस्तान समर्थित आतंकी संगठन द रेजिस्टेंस फ्रंट (TRF) और खालिस्तान समर्थक तत्वों के संपर्क में था। जांच एजेंसियों के अनुसार आरोपी न केवल सोशल मीडिया पर भारत विरोधी सामग्री साझा कर रहा था, बल्कि उसने एके-47 रायफल, ग्रेनेड और अन्य हथियार मंगाने की साजिश रची, बम धमाकों को लेकर चैटिंग और वॉइस नोट्स का आदान-प्रदान किया तथा बीएसएफ की संवेदनशील चौकी का वीडियो बनाकर पाकिस्तान स्थित अपने कथित आकाओं तक पहुंचाया।
यह मामला इसलिए और अधिक गंभीर माना जा रहा है क्योंकि इसमें डिजिटल प्रचार, अलगाववादी विचारधारा, सीमा सुरक्षा से जुड़ी संवेदनशील जानकारी और संभावित आतंकी गतिविधियों की तैयारी जैसे कई आयाम एक साथ सामने आए हैं। सुरक्षा एजेंसियां इसे भारत के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे “हाइब्रिड वॉरफेयर” के एक उदाहरण के रूप में देख रही हैं, जिसमें सोशल मीडिया, साइबर संपर्क, वैचारिक कट्टरता और जमीनी आतंकी योजना को एक साथ जोड़कर देश की सुरक्षा को चुनौती देने का प्रयास किया जाता है।
एडीजी दिनेश एमएन के निर्देशन में राजस्थान एटीएस की सोशल मीडिया मॉनिटरिंग शाखा ने की कार्रवाई
यह पूरी कार्रवाई एडीजी एटीएस, एजीटीएफ और एएनटीएफ दिनेश एमएन के निर्देशन और आईजी राजेश सिंह के सुपरविजन में की गई। राजस्थान एटीएस की सोशल मीडिया मॉनिटरिंग शाखा लंबे समय से ऐसे अकाउंट्स पर नजर रख रही है, जो देश विरोधी, अलगाववादी या आतंकी विचारधारा को बढ़ावा देने का काम करते हैं। इसी निगरानी के दौरान गुरविंदर सिंह के सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट्स संदिग्ध पाए गए।
प्रारंभिक विश्लेषण में उसके अकाउंट्स पर बड़ी मात्रा में प्रो-खालिस्तान और प्रो-पाकिस्तान सामग्री, वीडियो, ऑडियो, टिप्पणियां और पोस्ट मिले। इनमें भारत विरोधी भावनाओं को भड़काने वाली सामग्री के साथ-साथ पाकिस्तान समर्थक प्रचार भी शामिल था। इसके बाद राजस्थान एटीएस ने मामले को गंभीर मानते हुए विस्तृत जांच शुरू की।
पुलिस निरीक्षक निशा चावरिया की टीम ने जुटाए डिजिटल साक्ष्य, एएसपी सुरेन्द्र सिंह के नेतृत्व में पंजाब भेजी गई टीम
सोशल मीडिया शाखा प्रभारी पुलिस निरीक्षक निशा चावरिया के नेतृत्व में संदिग्ध गतिविधियों का गहन डिजिटल विश्लेषण किया गया। जब प्रारंभिक स्तर पर पर्याप्त साक्ष्य सामने आए, तो अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक सुरेन्द्र सिंह के नेतृत्व में विशेष टीम को पंजाब भेजा गया।
पंजाब पहुंचकर टीम ने संदिग्ध से पूछताछ की और उसके मोबाइल फोन, सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट्स तथा अन्य डिजिटल उपकरणों की जांच की। जांच के दौरान प्राप्त सामग्री ने सुरक्षा एजेंसियों की चिंता को कई गुना बढ़ा दिया, क्योंकि यह केवल वैचारिक समर्थन का मामला नहीं रह गया था, बल्कि संभावित हिंसक गतिविधियों की तैयारी के संकेत भी मिलने लगे थे।
TRF के संदिग्ध सदस्यों से संपर्क, फेसबुक मैसेंजर पर हथियार और धमाकों की बातचीत
जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपी के फेसबुक मैसेंजर और अन्य प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर कई संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों से बातचीत हुई थी, जिनमें कुछ संपर्क पाकिस्तान समर्थित आतंकी संगठन TRF से जुड़े बताए जा रहे हैं। इन चैट्स में AK-47 रायफल, ग्रेनेड और अन्य हथियारों की व्यवस्था करने की चर्चा पाई गई।
इतना ही नहीं, चैटिंग और वॉइस नोट्स में बम ब्लास्ट की संभावनाओं पर बातचीत भी मिली। यह तथ्य जांच को बेहद गंभीर बनाता है, क्योंकि इससे संकेत मिलता है कि आरोपी केवल प्रचारक की भूमिका में नहीं था, बल्कि आतंकी गतिविधियों के लिए संसाधन जुटाने और संभावित हमले की योजना पर भी विचार कर रहा था।
बीएसएफ चौकी का वीडियो पाकिस्तान भेजना सुरक्षा दृष्टि से अत्यंत गंभीर
सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के अनुसार आरोपी ने अपने मोबाइल फोन से प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र में स्थित बीएसएफ चौकी का वीडियो बनाया और उसे पाकिस्तान में बैठे अपने संपर्कों को भेजा। सीमा सुरक्षा प्रतिष्ठानों से जुड़ी ऐसी जानकारी शत्रु तत्वों के लिए अत्यंत संवेदनशील होती है।
ऐसी तस्वीरें और वीडियो घुसपैठ की योजना, निगरानी, लक्ष्य चयन और सुरक्षा व्यवस्थाओं की कमजोरियों का आकलन करने में उपयोग किए जा सकते हैं। यही कारण है कि इस खुलासे के बाद केंद्रीय एजेंसियों ने भी मामले को गंभीरता से लेते हुए गहन जांच शुरू कर दी है।
गुरपतवंत सिंह पन्नू और SFJ के वीडियो नियमित रूप से साझा करता था आरोपी
जांच में यह भी सामने आया कि आरोपी लगातार प्रतिबंधित संगठन सिख्स फॉर जस्टिस (SFJ) के प्रमुख गुरपतवंत सिंह पन्नू के खालिस्तान समर्थक वीडियो साझा कर रहा था। पन्नू लंबे समय से भारत विरोधी बयानबाजी और अलगाववादी अभियान चलाने के कारण सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के निशाने पर रहा है।
ऐसी सामग्री का लगातार प्रसार इस बात का संकेत है कि आरोपी केवल सोशल मीडिया उपभोक्ता नहीं था, बल्कि सक्रिय रूप से अलगाववादी विचारधारा को बढ़ावा दे रहा था और अन्य लोगों को प्रभावित करने का प्रयास कर रहा था।
अलगाववादी संगठनों से संपर्क और आतंकी घटना से संबंधित सामग्री ने बढ़ाई चिंता
एटीएस अधिकारियों के अनुसार आरोपी के पास ऐसी डिजिटल सामग्री भी मिली है, जो देश में आतंकी घटना को अंजाम देने की तैयारी या चर्चा से संबंधित प्रतीत होती है। इसके अलावा अलगाववादी संगठनों और समर्थकों से उसके संपर्क के प्रमाण भी मिले हैं।
जांच एजेंसियां अब यह पता लगाने में जुटी हैं कि आरोपी अकेले काम कर रहा था या वह किसी बड़े नेटवर्क का हिस्सा था, जिसका उद्देश्य भारत में अस्थिरता फैलाना, युवाओं को कट्टरपंथ की ओर धकेलना और संवेदनशील सूचनाएं पाकिस्तान तक पहुंचाना था।
राजस्थान एटीएस की सूचना पर पंजाब में FIR दर्ज
राजस्थान एटीएस की ओर से उपलब्ध कराए गए तथ्यों और साक्ष्यों के आधार पर पंजाब के तरनतारन जिले के थाना सदर पट्टी में गुरविंदर सिंह के खिलाफ भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी अधिनियम की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है।
एफआईआर दर्ज होने के बाद अब कानूनी प्रक्रिया और विस्तृत जांच आगे बढ़ेगी। आरोपी के डिजिटल उपकरणों की फॉरेंसिक जांच, संपर्कों की पहचान, वित्तीय लेनदेन की समीक्षा और अंतरराज्यीय नेटवर्क की पड़ताल की जा रही है।
दिनेश एमएन का स्पष्ट संदेश: सोशल मीडिया पर देश विरोधी गतिविधियां बर्दाश्त नहीं
एडीजी दिनेश एमएन ने कहा कि सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स का इस्तेमाल करके देश विरोधी विचारधारा फैलाने, आतंकवादी संगठनों से संपर्क रखने या भारत की सुरक्षा से जुड़ी संवेदनशील जानकारी साझा करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि आधुनिक दौर में आतंकवाद का स्वरूप बदल चुका है। अब सोशल मीडिया और एन्क्रिप्टेड प्लेटफॉर्म्स के माध्यम से कट्टरपंथ, भर्ती, प्रचार और साजिशें रची जाती हैं। ऐसे में साइबर निगरानी और डिजिटल इंटेलिजेंस राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा का अहम हिस्सा बन चुकी है।
तरनतारन फिर चर्चा में, सीमा पार नेटवर्क पर गहराया संदेह
भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा के निकट स्थित तरनतारन जिला पहले भी ड्रोन के जरिए हथियार और नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी, खालिस्तानी नेटवर्क और संदिग्ध गतिविधियों के कारण चर्चा में रहा है। वर्तमान मामला इस आशंका को और मजबूत करता है कि सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में शत्रु तत्व स्थानीय युवाओं को प्रभावित कर अपने एजेंडे के लिए इस्तेमाल करने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं।
हाइब्रिड वॉरफेयर के खिलाफ भारत की लड़ाई का नया अध्याय
यह मामला स्पष्ट करता है कि भारत के खिलाफ खतरे अब केवल सीमा पार से होने वाली पारंपरिक घुसपैठ तक सीमित नहीं हैं। सोशल मीडिया प्रचार, वैचारिक कट्टरता, संवेदनशील सूचनाओं की चोरी और आतंकी योजनाओं का डिजिटल समन्वय आधुनिक “हाइब्रिड युद्ध” का हिस्सा बन चुके हैं।
राजस्थान एटीएस की यह कार्रवाई इस बात का प्रमाण है कि भारतीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियां डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर सक्रिय खतरों को पहचानने और समय रहते निष्क्रिय करने में लगातार सक्षम हो रही हैं। यदि जांच में सामने आए आरोप पुष्ट होते हैं, तो यह मामला केवल एक व्यक्ति तक सीमित न रहकर भारत विरोधी नेटवर्क की व्यापक साजिश का पर्दाफाश कर सकता है।
राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियां कर रही हैं नेटवर्क की गहन पड़ताल
अब सभी संबंधित एजेंसियां गुरविंदर सिंह के संपर्कों, विदेशी लिंक, डिजिटल गतिविधियों, वित्तीय स्रोतों और संभावित सहयोगियों की गहराई से जांच कर रही हैं। यह भी देखा जा रहा है कि क्या अन्य राज्यों में भी ऐसे तत्व सक्रिय हैं और क्या इस नेटवर्क का संबंध सीमा पार बैठे हैंडलर्स से प्रत्यक्ष रूप से जुड़ा हुआ है।
भारत की सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के लिए यह मामला एक महत्वपूर्ण चेतावनी है कि साइबर स्पेस में सक्रिय छोटे-से दिखने वाले तत्व भी बड़े सुरक्षा खतरे में बदल सकते हैं। यही कारण है कि इस जांच को अत्यंत संवेदनशील माना जा रहा है और आने वाले दिनों में इससे जुड़े और भी बड़े खुलासे संभव हैं।
