RECRUITING ZONE, RAJASTHAN AND SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND

OUTREACH TO ITIs FOR RECRUITMENT IN INDIAN ARMY

South Western Command and Recruiting Zone, Rajasthan have undertaken a massive outreach program for attracting technically qualified youth from ITIs of Rajasthan State as part of the drive to raise the technical threshold of Indian Army right from the recruitment stage.

            Outreach activity to ITIs is being conducted wef May 2023 wherein a total of 84 ITIs have been covered till Nov 2023 by the joint teams to include participation of a strength of 709 teachers and 10,135 students.  Outreach programmes so far have been conducted at various government ITIs in 22 district of Rajasthan namely, Jodhpur, Alwar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Bundi, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Dholpur, Churu, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur Banswara, Bagidora, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Dausa, Baran and Sikar.

            Joint teams of South Western Command and Recruiting Zone, Rajasthan reached out to various ITIs across the entire state of Rajasthan including those in remote and tribal areas and educated the youth studying there as well as the faculty about various entry schemes to Indian Army. The focus of the program is to educate the youth about special provisions for the technically qualified diploma holders from ITIs; like award of bonus marks as per qualification held and relaxation in education qualification from 12th class to 10th class for ITI diploma holders. They were also educated on various technical streams available for entry into Indian Army for recruitment; including Agnipath scheme opportunities for enhancing technical expertise, higher studies, experience through various technological arms/ trades in which employment is offered as well as financial benefits vis-a-vis employment in other organisations. 

Publicity materials for info and benefit to ITI graduates were handed over to Principals of respective ITIs and Posters were placed at prominent places within ITI premises.All participants displayed great enthusiasm and keen interest and gained important knowledge about benefits and opportunities offered by the Indian Army, of which they had minimal awareness before the outreach. 

Recruiting Zone, Rajasthan also conducted awareness outreach programs at various Schools, Colleges with special emphasis on opportunities and entry schemes as officers in Indian Army.  In addition, the teams of Recruiting Zone, Rajasthan are also addressing Annual NCC camps held by NCC Battalions of Rajasthan state.

The efforts of South Western Command and Recruiting Zone, Rajasthan will continue in months to come.
