SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND ORGANISES GRAND ‘HONOUR RUN’ IN JAIPUR TO SALUTE INDIA’S VETERANS AND BRAVEHEARTS
A Morning of Patriotism, Unity and Reverence for India’s Warriors
Jaipur witnessed a powerful expression of national pride on 07 December 2025 as the Sapta Shakti Command organised the Honour Run, a tribute dedicated to India’s veterans and serving soldiers who have safeguarded the nation’s borders with determination and sacrifice. Held in the heart of the Pink City, the event resonated with emotion, enthusiasm, and a sense of collective gratitude, bringing together thousands of citizens across age groups and professions.
The Honour Run became more than just a sporting event—it emerged as a nationalistic movement, a celebration of resilience and the unbreakable spirit of the Indian Armed Forces. With participants spanning seasoned veterans, serving personnel, NCC cadets, para-athletes, professional runners, and families, the atmosphere glowed with inspiration and unity.
The Historic Route: From Albert Hall to the Soul of Jaipur
The event began at the iconic Albert Hall Museum, one of Jaipur’s most recognisable heritage landmarks. As the sun slowly rose over the winter skyline, hundreds of participants lined up amid crisp morning air and chants of patriotic slogans. The route moved across the energetic stretch of JLN Marg, transforming the city’s main artery into a vibrant corridor of enthusiasm and collective resolve.
Spectators thronged the sidewalks, cheering loudly as runners advanced with determination. Flags fluttered, drums echoed, and heartfelt salutes were offered to retired and serving soldiers—turning the city’s central boulevard into a living tribute to India’s Armed Forces.
High-Profile Flag-Off Ceremonies Elevate the Event’s Significance
Adding to the solemnity and grandeur of the morning, several dignitaries graced the Honour Run.
Chief Minister of Rajasthan Flags Off 10 km and 5 km Runs
Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, flagged off the 10 km and 5 km categories. His presence underscored the state’s commitment to honouring veterans and acknowledging the sacrifices made by soldiers and their families.
Army Commander Flags Off 21 km Run
Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, flagged off the 21 km half marathon, accompanied by senior military and civil dignitaries. His participation added immense motivation and reminded everyone of the vital role veterans and serving soldiers play in ensuring national security.
The dignitaries’ involvement not only lent prestige to the event but also reinforced the symbolic power of the Honour Run as a unifying platform that bridges the military and civilian worlds.

During the ceremony, the Army Commander addressed participants, stating that “every step taken today is a homage to the brave soldiers who have dedicated their lives to safeguarding the nation.” His words resonated deeply, especially among veterans who had once served along the country’s most sensitive frontiers.
The Chief Minister, in his address, emphasised that the Honour Run is not merely a sporting activity but “a symbol of patriotism, a living tribute to the courage, valour and sacrifices of our soldiers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.” His message encouraged the public to cherish and uphold the values that the Armed Forces stand for—discipline, strength, resilience, and service to the nation.

The Honour Run featured three major timed categories:
- 21 km half marathon
- 10 km run

A substantial prize pool of ₹22.7 lakh was allotted to promote participation, nurture fitness, and reward exceptional athletic performances. सप्त शक्ति कमांड द्वारा वेटरन्स को समर्पित भव्य ‘ऑनर रन’ का आयोजन, जयपुर की सड़कों पर देशभक्ति और साहस की अद्भुत मिसाल
जयपुर की ठंडी सुबह 07 दिसम्बर 2025 को देशभक्ति, उत्साह और एक अद्भुत एकता का मंच बन गई, जब सप्त शक्ति कमांड ने शहर के मध्य में ‘ऑनर रन’ का विशाल आयोजन किया। यह आयोजन सिर्फ एक मैराथन नहीं था, बल्कि भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों के वेटरन्स और उन बहादुर सैनिकों को समर्पित एक महान श्रद्धांजलि थी जिन्होंने जीवनभर देश की सीमाओं की रक्षा में खुद को समर्पित कर दिया। हजारों की संख्या में नागरिकों, सैनिकों, एनसीसी कैडेट्स, परिवारों और प्रोफेशनल रनर्स ने इसमें हिस्सा लिया और जयपुर की सड़कों पर साहस, अनुशासन और राष्ट्रीय गर्व की शानदार मिसाल पेश की।
यह दौड़ ऐतिहासिक अल्बर्ट हॉल से आरम्भ हुई, जहाँ की सुबह की रौनक और देशभक्ति के नारों से पूरा वातावरण ऊर्जा से भर गया। सर्द सुबह की धूप, तिरंगे की लहराती छवि और प्रतिभागियों की लंबी कतारों ने इस आयोजन को और भी भव्य बना दिया। जैसे ही अल्बर्ट हॉल से आगे बढ़कर दौड़ जेएलएन मार्ग की तरफ बढ़ी, पूरे मार्ग पर नागरिकों की भीड़ ने प्रतिभागियों का अभिवादन किया, सैनिकों का सम्मान किया और इस आयोजन को यादगार बना दिया।
इस कार्यक्रम के विभिन्न वर्ग—21 किमी, 10 किमी और 5 किमी—को उच्च स्तर के सम्मानित अधिकारियों ने फ्लैग ऑफ किया। 10 और 5 किमी की दौड़ को माननीय मुख्यमंत्री राजस्थान श्री भजन लाल शर्मा ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया, जबकि 21 किमी की प्रमुख दौड़ को लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मंजिंदर सिंह, आर्मी कमांडर, सप्त शक्ति कमांड, ने फ्लैग ऑफ किया। वरिष्ठ सैन्य एवं प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति ने प्रतिभागियों में ऊर्जा और उत्साह को कई गुना बढ़ा दिया, जिससे यह आयोजन केवल एक स्पोर्टिंग इवेंट न रहकर एक राष्ट्रीय कर्तव्य का प्रतीक बन गया।
आर्मी कमांडर ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि आज प्रतिभागियों द्वारा उठाया गया हर कदम उन वीर सैनिकों के लिए सम्मान का प्रतीक है जिन्होंने अपने जीवन का स्वर्णिम काल राष्ट्र की सुरक्षा में समर्पित कर दिया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने भी इस बात पर जोर दिया कि ऑनर रन असल में हमारे सैनिकों के साहस, त्याग और शौर्य को सम्मान देने का राष्ट्रीय अवसर है—एक ऐसा आयोजन जिसे हर भारतीय हृदय से महसूस करता है।
इस भव्य मैराथन में कुल ₹22.7 लाख की पुरस्कार राशि निर्धारित की गई थी, जिसने ना केवल प्रतियोगिता की प्रतिष्ठा बढ़ाई बल्कि फिटनेस और सहभागिता को भी बढ़ावा दिया। इस आयोजन से पहले जयपुर शहर में प्रमोशनल रन, कर्टेन रेज़र तथा बीब एक्सपो जैसी गतिविधियों ने माहौल को पूरी तरह देशभक्ति से भर दिया था। हजारों नागरिकों ने इन कार्यक्रमों में हिस्सा लिया और सैनिकों के साथ खड़े होने का गौरव महसूस किया।
पैरा-एथलीट्स की उपस्थिति इस आयोजन की सबसे प्रेरणादायक झलक रही। अपनी सीमित शारीरिक क्षमताओं के बावजूद उन्होंने जिस साहस और संकल्प के साथ दौड़ में हिस्सा लिया, वह भारत की अदम्य मानवीय शक्ति का सर्वोच्च उदाहरण बन गया। वेटरन्स, जिन्होंने कभी सियाचिन से लेकर थार के रेगिस्तान तक राष्ट्र की रक्षा की, आज उसी अनुशासन के साथ जयपुर की सड़कों पर दौड़े और शहरवासियों ने उन्हें गर्व के साथ सलाम किया।
कार्यक्रम के समापन पर पूरे जयपुर ने सशस्त्र बलों के प्रति अपना सम्मान, प्रेम और श्रद्धा व्यक्त की। यह आयोजन आने वाली आर्मी डे परेड 2026 का प्रील्यूड भी था, जो जयपुर में ही आयोजित की जाएगी। ऑनर रन ने एक बार फिर यह संदेश दिया कि भारतीय नागरिकों के दिल में सेना के लिए जितना प्रेम और सम्मान है, वह देश की एकता और शक्ति का आधार है। यह आयोजन एक इतिहास बन गया, जो आने वाले वर्षों तक जयपुर और राष्ट्र दोनों को प्रेरित करता रहेगा।
