सिंध के मुख्यमंत्री मुराद अली शाह ने सीसीआई बैठकों में एक साल की देरी पर उठाए सवाल, आईआरएसए की एनओसी पर जताई आपत्ति, पानी की बर्बादी के दावों को किया खारिज, और चोलिस्तान नहर पर पंजाब के खर्च को नकारा
कराची: सिंध के मुख्यमंत्री मुराद अली शाह ने जल विवाद से जुड़े कई महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि संघीय सरकार द्वारा पिछले एक साल से काउंसिल ऑफ कॉमन इंटरेस्ट (CCI) की बैठक नहीं बुलाई गई, जिससे महत्वपूर्ण जल-नीति संबंधी फैसले लटके हुए हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह देरी सिंध के किसानों और आम जनता के हितों के खिलाफ है।
उन्होंने इंडस रिवर सिस्टम अथॉरिटी (IRSA) द्वारा दी गई अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र (NOC) पर आपत्ति जताई, जिसे लेकर सिंध सरकार को पर्याप्त जानकारी नहीं दी गई। उनका कहना है कि सिंध को उचित जल आवंटन नहीं मिल रहा और यह आईआरएसए की निष्पक्षता पर सवाल खड़ा करता है।
मुराद अली शाह ने पानी की बर्बादी के आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा कि सिंध जल प्रबंधन में पारदर्शिता बरत रहा है और किसी तरह की अनावश्यक जल हानि नहीं हो रही। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि चोलिस्तान नहर परियोजना अभी तक संघीय स्तर पर स्वीकृत नहीं हुई है और इस पर पंजाब सरकार द्वारा कोई खर्च नहीं किया गया है।
उन्होंने संघीय सरकार से आग्रह किया कि जल वितरण के मुद्दों पर तत्काल बैठक बुलाई जाए और प्रांतीय सरकारों की चिंताओं को प्राथमिकता दी जाए। मुख्यमंत्री का यह बयान ऐसे समय आया है जब सिंध और पंजाब के बीच जल वितरण को लेकर विवाद लगातार गहराता जा रहा है।

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has raised concerns over multiple issues related to water distribution and governance. He criticized the federal government for not convening the Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting for over a year, delaying crucial policy decisions on water resources. According to him, this delay is against the interests of Sindh’s farmers and the general public.
The Chief Minister also questioned the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), stating that Sindh was not adequately informed. He claimed that Sindh was not receiving its fair share of water, raising doubts about IRSA’s impartiality.
Murad Ali Shah dismissed allegations of water wastage, asserting that Sindh maintains transparency in water management and there is no unnecessary loss of resources. He further clarified that the Cholistan Canal project has not yet been approved at the federal level, and no funds have been spent on it by the Punjab government.
He urged the federal government to immediately convene a meeting to address water distribution issues and prioritize provincial concerns. His statement comes at a time when tensions over water sharing between Sindh and Punjab continue to escalate.
