SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND INVESTITURE CEREMONY TO BE HELD

AT DOT AUDITORIUM, HISAR MILITARY STATION ON 24 FEB 2024

            South Western Command Investiture Ceremony will be held at Dot on Target Auditorium, Hisar Military Station on 24 February 2024 to acknowledge the gallant and distinguished acts of our soldiers in discharging their duty towards the Nation.

            The event will witness Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, Ati Vishist Seva Medal,           General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command presenting Gallantry and Distinguished Awards to the individual awardees alongwith General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Unit Appreciation to units for their noteworthy performance. As a prelude to this ceremony, variety of activities will be organised for the attendees on 23 & 24 February 2024 at Hisar Military Station.

            The Investiture Ceremony is conducted once a year to confer awards to personnel who distinguish themselves by acts of individual gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty. 16 officers and one soldier are being awarded in recognition of their extraordinary services to the nation. One gallantry award will be presented posthumously to the Next of Kin of Major Vikas Bhambhu. 17 units will also be receiving General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command Unit Appreciation.
