Sriganganagar’s Amogh Division Launches Comprehensive Drone Training Capsule in Forward Areas

In the sensitive frontier districts of Rajasthan, the Indian Army is steadily expanding its vision of national security beyond traditional military operations. This week, Sriganganagar-based Amogh Division conducted a large-scale Drone Training Capsule in forward areas, marking a significant step in community engagement, capability building, and youth empowerment.
The initiative brought together students, NCC cadets, ex-servicemen, Civil Defence volunteers, BSF personnel, and Rajasthan Police, forming a diverse cohort unified by a common objective—understanding and mastering modern drone technology. Through hands-on training, interactive demonstrations, and field exercises, the Army showcased how unmanned systems are shaping the future of security, disaster response, surveillance, and nation-building.
Drone Technology: The New Pillar of National Preparedness
The rise of drones has redefined warfare, surveillance, agriculture, logistics, and emergency response across the world. Recognising this shift, the Indian Army is now ensuring that the border communities—who remain the first responders in many crises—are not left behind in this technological transition.
During the capsule, participants were exposed to a wide spectrum of drone systems, ranging from small quadcopters for reconnaissance to long-range platforms used in tactical operations. The Army’s instructors explained aerodynamics, battery systems, payload integration, flight stability, and software handling, ensuring participants understood not only how drones work but why they matter.
For many young students and NCC cadets, this was their first real encounter with advanced technology used by the armed forces. For law enforcement agencies, the training offered crucial insights into how drones can enhance surveillance along the border, assist during smuggling interdiction, and strengthen night-time patrolling.
Amogh Division’s Civil-Military Synergy: Strengthening Border Communities
Amogh Division has been at the forefront of civil-military cooperation in northern Rajasthan. This training capsule is part of its larger commitment to nurturing a technologically aware local population that understands the challenges and responsibilities of living next to an international border.
Ex-servicemen attending the program praised the Army’s efforts, noting how modern training can help them contribute more effectively to village-level vigilance committees and civil defence mechanisms. Civil Defence volunteers and police personnel emphasised that drones have already begun revolutionising ground-level policing, crowd monitoring, and emergency coordination.
The structured curriculum designed by Amogh Division addressed both theory and practice, ensuring participants flew drones themselves, understood terrain complexities, and handled real-time mission simulations.
Youth Empowerment: Inspiring the Next Generation of Tech Warriors
A notable feature of this initiative was its direct engagement with local youth—students and NCC cadets who aspire to join the Armed Forces, CAPFs, or the nation’s growing defence-tech ecosystem.
The interactive sessions highlighted the future of defence technology, careers in the drone industry, India’s growing UAV manufacturing ecosystem, and the increasing role of unmanned systems in national security.
Many students expressed that the training was an eye-opener, especially when they realised how drones are used for:
• Border surveillance
• Early-warning operations
• Disaster relief and humanitarian assistance
• Agricultural mapping
• Crowd management
• Search and rescue missions
By exposing youth to real-world scenarios, the Army ignited curiosity and confidence—critical for building a technologically strong and self-reliant India.

The joint training enhanced interoperability, helped standardise drone-related protocols, and ensured all frontline units share a common understanding of aerial surveillance requirements. This will significantly improve border vigilance and reduce response time during emergencies.

श्रीगंगानगर में अमोघ डिविजन का भव्य ‘ड्रोन ट्रेनिंग कैप्सूल’
सीमा क्षेत्रों में छात्रों, एनसीसी कैडेट्स, पूर्व सैनिकों, सिविल डिफेंस वालंटियर्स, BSF और राजस्थान पुलिस को आधुनिक तकनीक की गहराई से प्रशिक्षण
परिचय: सीमा पर सेना का तकनीकी सशक्तिकरण का नया अध्याय
श्रीगंगानगर के संवेदनशील सीमावर्ती इलाक़ों में भारतीय सेना की अमोघ डिविजन ने इस सप्ताह एक व्यापक और उच्च स्तरीय ड्रोन ट्रेनिंग कैप्सूल का आयोजन किया। यह प्रशिक्षण न सिर्फ़ युवाओं को भविष्य की तकनीक से जोड़ने का प्रयास है, बल्कि समुदाय को सुरक्षा और आपदा प्रबंधन में अधिक सक्षम बनाने की एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल भी है।
इस प्रशिक्षण में छात्रों, एनसीसी कैडेट्स, पूर्व सैनिकों, सिविल डिफेंस वालंटियर्स, बीएसएफ जवानों और राजस्थान पुलिस कर्मियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया। सेना के विशेषज्ञ प्रशिक्षकों ने उन्हें ड्रोन के संचालन, मिशन प्लानिंग, सुरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल और वास्तविक परिदृश्यों में ड्रोन उपयोग की बारीकियों से अवगत करवाया।
ड्रोन टेक्नोलॉजी: सुरक्षा, आपदा प्रबंधन और निगरानी का भविष्य
ड्रोन अब आधुनिक युद्ध, सुरक्षा, कृषि, सर्वेक्षण और आपदा प्रबंधन के अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण उपकरण बन चुके हैं। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए भारतीय सेना यह सुनिश्चित कर रही है कि सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोग इस नई तकनीक से पीछे न रह जाएं।
प्रशिक्षण के दौरान प्रतिभागियों को विभिन्न प्रकार के ड्रोन—
• छोटे क्वाडकॉप्टर
• निगरानी ड्रोन
• उच्च दूरी तय करने वाले सामरिक ड्रोन
• रीयल-टाइम वीडियो फीड सिस्टम
—के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी गई।
सेना के प्रशिक्षकों ने ड्रोन की उड़ान प्रणाली, बैटरी प्रबंधन, पेलोड क्षमता, कैमरा सिस्टम, हवा में स्थिरता, जियो-फेंसिंग और ऑपरेशनल सीमाओं पर भी प्रकाश डाला।
अमोघ डिविजन की सीमावर्ती समुदायों के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता
अमोघ डिविजन लंबे समय से नागरिक-सैन्य सहयोग के क्षेत्र में शानदार कार्य कर रही है। यह ड्रोन कैप्सूल भी उसी श्रृंखला का एक हिस्सा है, जिसका मकसद सीमावर्ती समुदायों को तकनीक-समृद्ध बनाना और उन्हें आधुनिक सुरक्षा तरीकों से परिचित कराना है।
पूर्व सैनिकों ने इस पहल की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि इस तरह का प्रशिक्षण उन्हें गांव-स्तरीय सुरक्षा समितियों और आपदा प्रतिक्रिया तंत्र में और अधिक सक्षम बनाता है। वहीं सिविल डिफेंस वालंटियर्स और पुलिस अधिकारियों ने माना कि ड्रोन अब पुलिसिंग और सीमा निगरानी का अनिवार्य हिस्सा बनते जा रहे हैं।
सेना द्वारा तैयार पाठ्यक्रम में सिद्धांत और व्यावहारिक दोनों पहलुओं को शामिल किया गया, जिससे प्रतिभागियों ने ड्रोन को स्वयं उड़ाया, मिशन प्लानिंग की और वास्तविक समय के परिदृश्यों में नियंत्रण कौशल विकसित किए।
युवाओं के लिए प्रेरणा: तकनीक आधारित भारत की दिशा में बड़ा कदम
यह कार्यक्रम खासतौर पर युवाओं के लिए अत्यंत प्रेरणादायी रहा। छात्रों और एनसीसी कैडेट्स ने न केवल ड्रोन उड़ाना सीखा, बल्कि यह भी समझा कि भविष्य में सुरक्षा, रक्षा टेक्नोलॉजी, कृषि विज्ञान, आपदा प्रबंधन और स्टार्टअप जगत में ड्रोन कितनी बड़ी भूमिका निभाएंगे।
प्रशिक्षण में युवाओं को यह बताया गया कि ड्रोन का उपयोग कैसे किया जाता है:
• सीमा की निगरानी
• तस्करी रोधी अभियान
• जंगल की आग या प्राकृतिक आपदा में खोज एवं बचाव
• बाढ़ क्षेत्र में निगरानी
• कृषि भूमि का सर्वेक्षण
• भीड़ नियंत्रण में सहायता
इससे उनके भीतर तकनीक के प्रति जिज्ञासा बढ़ी और आत्मविश्वास भी मजबूत हुआ।
आत्मनिर्भर भारत की दिशा में निर्णायक कदम
यह प्रशिक्षण भारत सरकार की आत्मनिर्भर भारत पहल को शक्ति देने का एक और प्रयास है। भारतीय सेना अब बड़े पैमाने पर भारत में निर्मित ड्रोन का उपयोग कर रही है और उनकी क्षमताओं को लगातार परख रही है।

इस प्रशिक्षण में BSF और राजस्थान पुलिस की भागीदारी ने कैप्सूल को और अधिक सामरिक मजबूती दी। सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में ड्रोन-संबंधित गतिविधियों, तस्करी के बदलते तरीकों और सतत निगरानी की जरूरत को देखते हुए यह साझा प्रशिक्षण बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है।
