बिड़ला ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित यह समारोह राजस्थान की ओर से राष्ट्र के वीर सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों के प्रति कृतज्ञता का एक सशक्त प्रतीक बनकर सामने आया। वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारियों, पूर्व सैनिकों, वीर नारियों, वीर माताओं, असैनिक गणमान्यजनों, सेवारत सैन्यकर्मियों और नागरिकों की उपस्थिति ने कार्यक्रम को व्यापक जनभागीदारी प्रदान की। मंच पर सम्मानित वीर नारियों और वीर माताओं ने पूरे समाज को यह संदेश दिया कि राष्ट्र के लिए किया गया त्याग कभी व्यर्थ नहीं जाता और शहीदों की विरासत को सम्मान के साथ आगे बढ़ाना पूरे समाज की जिम्मेदारी है।

कारगिल विजय दिवस एक निश्चित तारीख पर मनाया जाता है, लेकिन कारगिल के शहीदों की स्मृति किसी एक दिन तक सीमित नहीं हो सकती। ऑपरेशन विजय के वीरों का बलिदान, उनके परिवारों का साहस और राष्ट्र के प्रति उनका समर्पण भारतीय समाज की सामूहिक स्मृति का हिस्सा है। जयपुर में आयोजित ‘वीरांगना सम्मान’ समारोह ने इसी भावना को मजबूती दी। इसने याद दिलाया कि देश अपने सैनिकों को केवल युद्धभूमि पर नहीं, बल्कि उनके परिवारों के जीवन में भी याद रखता है।
