On 01 October 2025, at the historic town of Bhuj in Gujarat, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi conferred the prestigious “Veteran Achievers Award” on four exemplary veterans for their extraordinary contributions towards nation-building in diverse fields.
The awards were presented to Colonel Shagun Bhatnagar (Retd), Major Aditya Vikram Singh (Retd), Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd) and Lance Naik Sodha Dipubha Ratanji (Retd), each of whom has continued to embody the Army’s ethos of discipline, selfless service, and leadership in their post-retirement journeys.

Serving today as the Secretary of the Kutch Ex-Servicemen Association, Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd) has become the voice and organiser of the veteran community across the district. His efforts to mobilise participation in rallies, outreach programmes, and veteran-centric initiatives have brought visibility to the issues faced by ex-servicemen and their families.
From addressing pension grievances to facilitating community events, Suthar has worked tirelessly to ensure that the concerns of veterans are not only heard but also acted upon. भुज, 01 अक्टूबर 2025 – भारतीय सेना ने एक बार फिर यह साबित किया कि राष्ट्र सेवा की भावना वर्दी उतार देने के बाद भी कभी समाप्त नहीं होती। 01 अक्टूबर 2025 को गुजरात के ऐतिहासिक शहर भुज में थलसेना प्रमुख जनरल उपेन्द्र द्विवेदी ने चार विशिष्ट पूर्व सैनिकों को उनकी असाधारण सेवाओं और राष्ट्र निर्माण में योगदान के लिए “वेटरन अचीवर्स अवार्ड” से सम्मानित किया।
