VMSB Uttarakhand Technical University Vice Chancellor Visits Indian Military Academy, Strengthens Academic Partnership

Prof. Dr. Tripta Thakur, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSB UTU), visited the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun on August 6, 2026, reaffirming the long-standing academic collaboration between the two institutions.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Thakur met Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, Commandant of the Indian Military Academy. The interaction focused on enhancing cooperation in higher education, leadership development, and academic excellence for future military officers.
The Vice Chancellor and the accompanying delegation were given an overview of IMA’s world-class training infrastructure, academic ecosystem, and rigorous military training methodologies that prepare Gentleman Cadets to serve as officers in the Indian Army. The delegation appreciated the Academy’s commitment to producing professionally competent, physically robust, and ethically driven military leaders.
The visit also highlighted the enduring partnership between VMSB Uttarakhand Technical University and the Indian Military Academy. Through this collaboration, the university contributes to the academic development of Gentleman Cadets, complementing their military training with structured higher education and professional learning.
Both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting excellence in education, innovation, leadership, and nation-building. The interaction reflected the growing importance of integrating academic knowledge with military professionalism to prepare future Army officers for the evolving challenges of modern warfare and national security.

वीर माधो सिंह भंडारी उत्तराखंड तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय (VMSB UTU) की माननीय कुलपति प्रो. डॉ. तृप्ता ठाकुर ने 6 अगस्त 2026 को भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी (IMA), देहरादून का दौरा किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने आईएमए के कमांडेंट लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल नागेंद्र सिंह, AVSM, YSM, SM से मुलाकात कर सैन्य शिक्षा, नेतृत्व विकास और अकादमिक सहयोग से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की।
दौरे के दौरान कुलपति और उनके प्रतिनिधिमंडल को भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी के अत्याधुनिक प्रशिक्षण ढांचे, आधुनिक शैक्षणिक व्यवस्था तथा जेंटलमैन कैडेट्स को दिए जाने वाले कठोर सैन्य प्रशिक्षण से अवगत कराया गया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आईएमए की उत्कृष्ट प्रशिक्षण प्रणाली, अनुशासन, नेतृत्व निर्माण की परंपरा तथा भविष्य के सैन्य अधिकारियों को तैयार करने में निभाई जा रही महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका की सराहना की।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने विशेष रूप से भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी और वीर माधो सिंह भंडारी उत्तराखंड तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय के बीच वर्षों से चले आ रहे अकादमिक सहयोग की प्रशंसा की। यह साझेदारी जेंटलमैन कैडेट्स को सैन्य प्रशिक्षण के साथ-साथ उच्च शिक्षा और शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता का अवसर प्रदान करती है, जिससे वे भविष्य में तकनीकी रूप से दक्ष, रणनीतिक सोच रखने वाले और नेतृत्व क्षमता से परिपूर्ण सैन्य अधिकारी बन सकें।
बैठक के दौरान दोनों संस्थानों ने शिक्षा, अनुसंधान, नवाचार और नेतृत्व विकास के क्षेत्र में सहयोग को और अधिक मजबूत बनाने की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। आधुनिक युद्ध, उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा की बदलती चुनौतियों को देखते हुए सैन्य प्रशिक्षण और उच्च शिक्षा के समन्वय को समय की आवश्यकता बताया गया।
यह दौरा भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी और वीएमएसबी उत्तराखंड तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय के बीच मजबूत होते संबंधों का प्रतीक माना जा रहा है। दोनों संस्थानों का साझा उद्देश्य ऐसे सैन्य नेताओं का निर्माण करना है जो न केवल युद्ध कौशल में दक्ष हों, बल्कि आधुनिक तकनीक, रणनीतिक चिंतन, नैतिक मूल्यों और राष्ट्रीय सेवा की भावना से भी पूर्णतः सुसज्जित हों।
