WEAPON DISPLAY’ ORGANISED BY ‘RANBANKURA DIVISION’ AT BIKANER TO COMMEMORATE 25 YEARS OF KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

                        A weapon & equipment display with theme ‘Know Your Armed Forces’ was organised by ‘Ranbankura Division’ at Bikaner on 23rd July 2024 to commemorate 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas.

            The event was inaugurated by Maj Gen AK Pundir General Officer Commanding, Ranbankura Division. A large gathering of school children, college youth, NCC cadets, residents and government officials including DC, Bikaner SP, Bikaner Vice-chancellor of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences & Vice-chancellor of Maharaja Gangasingh University were present. A documentary on Kargil War was also screened to showcase the valour and courage of the soldiers who fought the war.

            The event received an overwhelming response from the residents of Bikaner and surrounding areas. School children and youth were mesmerized by the display, as they witnessed functioning and operation of weapons and equipment and could also interact with the soldiers.

            A detailed orientation on joining Indian Army through Agniveer Scheme was also carried out during the event. Women officers of Indian Army also interacted with the attendees, especially children and shared experiences on leadership and role of women in the Indian Army.

            Kargil Vijay Diwas is a solemn remembrance of the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers in protecting the territorial integrity of our motherland. Vijay ‘Diwas Shastra Darshan’ left an indelible impression on the minds of the visitors and youth of the region and inspired them to contribute towards nation building.
