इस पूरे मामले में सोशल मीडिया की भूमिका बेहद अहम रही है। जांच में सामने आया है कि आरोपी इंस्टाग्राम और व्हाट्सएप जैसे प्लेटफॉर्म्स के जरिए पाकिस्तानी हैंडलर्स के संपर्क में आए और धीरे-धीरे उनकी सोच को प्रभावित किया गया। उनके मोबाइल फोन से बरामद चैट, वीडियो कॉल रिकॉर्डिंग, वॉइस नोट्स और ग्रुप कॉल्स इस बात का स्पष्ट प्रमाण हैं कि यह कोई आकस्मिक संपर्क नहीं था, बल्कि एक सुनियोजित डिजिटल ऑपरेशन था। व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप्स में देश विरोधी चर्चाएं की जा रही थीं और विभिन्न विदेशी नंबरों से लगातार संपर्क बना हुआ था। यह दर्शाता है कि अब आतंकवादी संगठन इंटरनेट और सोशल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल कर सीमाओं को पार करते हुए सीधे भारत के अंदर नेटवर्क तैयार करने में लगे हैं।

वर्दीधारी को निशाना बनाने का प्लान: सुरक्षा बलों के खिलाफ सीधे हमले की साजिश
सबसे गंभीर खुलासा यह हुआ कि आरोपियों को वर्दीधारी व्यक्तियों पर हमला करने का सीधा निर्देश दिया गया था। कृष्णा मिश्रा के मोबाइल से ऐसे वीडियो मिले हैं, जिनमें पाकिस्तानी हैंडलर्स यह कहते हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं कि किसी वर्दीधारी व्यक्ति को गोली मारकर उसका वीडियो भेजा जाए। इसके अलावा, कृष्णा के फोन में रेकी के वीडियो भी मिले हैं, जिससे यह स्पष्ट होता है कि वह और उसके साथी इस टास्क को पूरा करने के लिए जमीन पर सक्रिय हो चुके थे। इस तरह के निर्देश यह दर्शाते हैं कि आतंकी नेटवर्क का उद्देश्य केवल नुकसान पहुंचाना ही नहीं, बल्कि सुरक्षा बलों का मनोबल तोड़ना भी था।

ATS ने जब इन दोनों आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया, तो उनके पास से हथियार और गोला-बारूद भी बरामद किया गया। दानियाल अशरफ के पास से 9 एमएम की एक देशी पिस्टल और चार जिंदा कारतूस मिले, जबकि कृष्णा मिश्रा के पास से .315 बोर का तमंचा और दो कारतूस बरामद हुए। इसके अलावा, दोनों के मोबाइल फोन से भारी मात्रा में डिजिटल सबूत मिले हैं, जिनमें चैट, कॉल रिकॉर्डिंग और वीडियो शामिल हैं। ये सभी सबूत इस बात की पुष्टि करते हैं कि आरोपी आतंकी गतिविधियों में संलिप्त थे और किसी बड़े हमले की तैयारी कर रहे थे।
