Mrs Asia International 2018 Dr Anupama Soni said on World Tobacco Prohibition Day that during this period of Corona epidemic, people who consume tobacco have failed to win the war against Corona.
She said that human lungs are more affected due to consumption of tobacco, due to which they are unable to compete with corona. Along with this, tobacco consumption causes many diseases like lung cancer, heart disease, diabetes. If women consume tobacco, there can be serious illnesses such as lowered baby weight during pregnancy, premature birth, stunted child development, childbirth with physical deformity.
She said that despite the warning written on tobacco-containing substances, people consume it and ignore its side effects. On World Tobacco Prohibition Day, she appealed to the people to abandon tobacco consumption, so that yoga, spirituality or any other hobby should be the basic mantra of life so that one can be able to quit it. Also encourage your friends and family to quit tobacco. She said that addiction is more painful than death.
It is noteworthy that Dr Anupama Soni is currently the state ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
