The desert city of Bikaner is set to script a new chapter in its rail connectivity as the much-awaited Bikaner–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 September 2025. The grand ceremony, whose main venue has been designated in Banswara, will also mark the inauguration of two other premium trains—the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt. Vande Bharat Express and the Udaipur–Chandigarh Bi-Weekly Vande Bharat Express.

रेगिस्तानी शहर बीकानेर अब अपने रेल संपर्क के इतिहास में एक नया अध्याय लिखने जा रहा है। बहुप्रतीक्षित बीकानेर–दिल्ली सराय रोहिल्ला वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस का शुभारंभ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 25 सितम्बर 2025 को वर्चुअल माध्यम से करेंगे। इस भव्य आयोजन का मुख्य स्थल बांसवाड़ा निर्धारित किया गया है। इसी अवसर पर दो और प्रीमियम ट्रेनों—जोधपुर–दिल्ली कैंट वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस और उदयपुर–चंडीगढ़ द्वि-साप्ताहिक वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस—का भी उद्घाटन किया जाएगा।
बीकानेर और पश्चिमी राजस्थान के लिए ऐतिहासिक पहल

25 सितम्बर का शुभारंभ केवल बीकानेर तक सीमित नहीं रहेगा। इसी दिन जोधपुर और उदयपुर को भी अपनी-अपनी वंदे भारत ट्रेनें मिलेंगी। जोधपुर–दिल्ली कैंट वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस नीली नगरी को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी से तेज़ी से जोड़ेगी, जबकि उदयपुर–चंडीगढ़ द्वि-साप्ताहिक वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस झीलों के शहर को योजनाबद्ध नगर चंडीगढ़ से जोड़ेगी।
इन तीनों ट्रेनों का एक साथ उद्घाटन केंद्र सरकार के इस संकल्प को रेखांकित करता है कि राजस्थान जैसे रणनीतिक और सांस्कृतिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण राज्य में अर्ध-हाईस्पीड रेल नेटवर्क को मजबूती दी जाए।
प्रधानमंत्री का वर्चुअल शुभारंभ

होटल संचालकों का मानना है कि दिल्ली से तेज़ कनेक्टिविटी मिलने से वीकेंड यात्रियों और विदेशी पर्यटकों की संख्या बढ़ेगी। एक होटल एसोसिएशन सदस्य ने कहा—“अब बीकानेर को पर्यटन मानचित्र पर और मजबूत पहचान मिलेगी।”
राजस्थान में रेलवे आधुनिकीकरण
