Ex – SERVICEMEN RALLY FOR WELFARE OF INDIAN ARMY VETERANS & DEPENDENTS ORGANISED AT CLEMENT TOWN, DEHRADUN

On 04 April 2024 Golden Key Division, Uttarakhand Sub Area and Station Headquarters Clement Town conducted a Ex-servicemen Rally at Clement Town, Dehradun Military Station. During the event, a Medical Camp was also organised for the Veterans. The event was a part of the efforts of the Indian Army to reach out to its Veterans and the Next of Kins (NOK) of the Battle Casualties, Disabled Soldiers, Veer Naris and Widows to inform them about their entitlements, financial benefits, and various welfare schemes in order to assist them to resolve their pension related problems representatives of various Record Offices, PCDA and banks were also present.

The Ex-servicemen Rally provided a forum from all to get up-to-date information about various schemes, entitlements, and employment opportunities being provided by State Government and Central Government. The rally also provided a platform to the veterans and their families to interact with authorities of the civil administration and other government agencies to resolve their grievances.

A total of approximately 700 Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and Veer Matas graced the event in which 70 Veer Naris were also felicitated during the event for the supreme sacrifice made by their husband in the line of duty in the presence of prominent personalities of the region and approx Ex-servicemen. During the event disabled veterans were also provided with e-Scooter in order to assist them to lead a dignified life.

The event demonstrated the strong bonding of Indian Army with the Ex-servicemen and their Next of Kins (NOK). The efforts of Indian Army were highly applauded by the Ex-servicemen, Next of Kins and the local populace.
