Indian Coast Guard Inducts ‘Adamya’: First of Eight Indigenous Fast Patrol Vessels Built by Goa Shipyard Limited
Goa/New Delhi, 26 June 2025: Marking a significant leap towards bolstering India’s maritime security and enhancing indigenous shipbuilding capabilities, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has inducted ‘Adamya’, the first of eight Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) being constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL). The commissioning ceremony took place today in Goa, underscoring India’s commitment to strengthening its maritime defence with cutting-edge indigenous platforms under the banner of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
‘Adamya’: A Technological Marvel in Coastal Security
‘Adamya’ is a milestone for the Indian Coast Guard as it becomes the first vessel in its class to feature Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPPs) and indigenously developed gearboxes, offering superior maneuverability, operational flexibility, and enhanced sea performance. These technological advancements significantly boost the ICG’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively to a wide spectrum of maritime challenges.
Equipped for Modern Maritime Operations
Designed with state-of-the-art systems, ‘Adamya’ enhances the ICG’s operational capabilities across India’s vast maritime domain. Its key features include:
- A powerful 30mm CRN-91 gun for maritime security and deterrence.
- Two 12.7mm stabilized remote-control guns with advanced fire control systems, enhancing precision targeting.
- An Integrated Bridge System (IBS) for seamless navigation and vessel control.
- An Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for efficient vessel operations.
- An Automated Power Management System (APMS) ensuring optimal power distribution and management.
These features empower the ICG to execute its wide array of duties with enhanced precision, efficiency, and responsiveness.

भारतीय तटरक्षक बल में शामिल हुआ ‘अदम्य’, गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड द्वारा निर्मित आठ फास्ट पेट्रोल वेसल्स में पहला
गोवा/नई दिल्ली, 26 जून 2025: भारत की समुद्री सुरक्षा और स्वदेशी जहाज निर्माण क्षमताओं को नई मजबूती देते हुए, भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (ICG) में आज ‘अदम्य’ को शामिल किया गया। यह गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड (GSL) द्वारा बनाए जा रहे आठ फास्ट पेट्रोल वेसल्स (FPVs) में से पहला जहाज है। गोवा में आयोजित समारोह में ‘अदम्य’ की आधिकारिक रूप से तैनाती ने आत्मनिर्भर भारत की दिशा में एक और महत्वपूर्ण कदम को दर्शाया।
‘अदम्य’ – अत्याधुनिक तकनीक से लैस भारत का नया समुद्री प्रहरी
‘अदम्य’ अपने वर्ग का पहला ऐसा जहाज है, जिसमें कंट्रोलेबल पिच प्रोपेलर्स (CPPs) और स्वदेशी गियरबॉक्स लगे हैं। इससे जहाज की संचालन क्षमता, दिशा नियंत्रण और समुद्र में प्रदर्शन को नई ऊंचाई मिलती है। यह तटरक्षक बल की तेजी से प्रतिक्रिया देने और समुद्री चुनौतियों से प्रभावी ढंग से निपटने की क्षमता को कई गुना बढ़ाएगा।
आधुनिक हथियारों और प्रणालियों से सुसज्जित
‘अदम्य’ को अत्याधुनिक तकनीक और हथियारों से लैस किया गया है, जो समुद्री सुरक्षा अभियानों को अत्यधिक सटीकता और दक्षता के साथ अंजाम देने में सक्षम बनाते हैं। प्रमुख विशेषताएं हैं:
- समुद्री रक्षा के लिए शक्तिशाली 30 मिमी CRN-91 गन।
- उन्नत फायर कंट्रोल सिस्टम के साथ दो 12.7 मिमी स्टेबलाइज्ड रिमोट-कंट्रोल गन।
- नेविगेशन और संचालन को आसान बनाने वाला इंटीग्रेटेड ब्रिज सिस्टम (IBS)।
- जहाज संचालन में दक्षता लाने वाला इंटीग्रेटेड प्लेटफॉर्म मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (IPMS)।
- ऊर्जा प्रबंधन में स्वचालितता लाने वाला ऑटोमेटेड पावर मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (APMS)।
समुद्री निगरानी और त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया में अहम भूमिका
‘अदम्य’ भारतीय तटरक्षक बल के संचालन बेड़े में फोर्स मल्टीप्लायर की भूमिका निभाएगा। यह जहाज निम्नलिखित कार्यों में बेहद महत्वपूर्ण साबित होगा:
