Sapta Shakti Command to Host SPARSH Outreach Program for Veterans

Jaipur, September 10, 2024: The Sapta Shakti Command, in collaboration with the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) (Army) Jaipur, is set to organize a comprehensive outreach program on the SPARSH portal, aimed specifically at Indian Army veterans. Scheduled for September 12, 2024, the event will be held at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium within the Military Station Jaipur, running from 1000 to 1600 hours.

The initiative is designed to familiarize veterans with the SPARSH portal, a digital platform created to streamline and enhance the pension disbursement process for retired army personnel. Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, the Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, will be the chief guest, inaugurating the event and addressing the attendees.

The day’s agenda includes a series of presentations, interactive sessions, and Question & Answer forums. These components are intended to ensure that veterans gain a thorough understanding of the SPARSH portal’s functionalities. The program will provide in-depth insights into how the portal operates, focusing on its various features and benefits. Additionally, it will cover strategies for addressing common grievances and challenges faced by veterans regarding pension disbursement.

The outreach program has several key objectives. Primarily, it seeks to educate veterans about the capabilities of the SPARSH portal, guiding them through the processes involved in accessing their entitled benefits. By offering detailed demonstrations and interactive discussions, the program aims to empower veterans to use the portal effectively. Furthermore, the initiative is geared towards resolving any existing issues related to pension disbursement, with dedicated grievance redressal counters established by PCDA executives on-site.

This event underscores the commitment of the Indian Army and the PCDA to ensure that veterans receive the support and resources they need to navigate the complexities of pension management. By fostering a deeper understanding of the SPARSH portal and addressing individual concerns, the program aspires to improve the overall experience for veterans and ensure that they can seamlessly access the benefits they are entitled to.

Veterans are encouraged to attend this important session to make the most of the services available through the SPARSH portal and to have their questions and concerns addressed by experts.
