Bomb Threat at Jaipur’s ESIC Hospital: Email Sent in Ajmal Kasab’s Name Alleges LTTE Links, Fake Passports, and Chemical Attack Plan

In a major security scare, Jaipur’s ESIC Hospital was put on high alert today after a bomb threat was received via email, allegedly sent in the name of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacker Ajmal Kasab. The chilling email not only warned of a potential blast but also revealed sensational claims of an elaborate terror nexus involving fake passports, former LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) members, and a chemical attack plot.
Upon receiving the threat, hospital authorities immediately informed security agencies. Teams from Jaipur Police, Fire Brigade, Bomb Disposal Squad, Civil Defence, and other security wings swiftly arrived at the hospital, initiating a comprehensive search operation across the premises. After an intense search, no suspicious objects or materials were found, and the area was declared safe. However, the threat email has triggered widespread concern, prompting cyber experts to launch a full-scale investigation.
Explosive Allegations in the Threat Email
The contents of the email have raised eyebrows and intensified security concerns across the state. According to sources, the email claims:
- A Tamil Nadu IPS officer, identified as Davidson Devashree Batham, allegedly facilitated the issuance of fake passports to former LTTE operatives through his wife’s travel agency.
- These operatives were allegedly recruited by Pakistani agencies.
- The operatives are said to be carrying mobile phones equipped with chemical fuses capable of triggering mass casualties.
- The car they are travelling in is described as a ‘bio bubble’, designed to maximize the spread of toxic agents in case of an attack.
- The email threatens that if the plan appears compromised, the operatives will detonate fuses or directly deploy a nerve gas-based IED inside the hospital.
The email further warns authorities not to dismiss this as a hoax, citing that fake passport records can be traced to locations linked to the Assistant Commissioner of Intelligence in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. It urges immediate, cautious action to prevent a potential disaster.
Ominous Pattern of Bomb Threats in Jaipur
This incident is not isolated. Jaipur has been grappling with a series of bomb threats over the past few months, some of which have already led to arrests:
- 8th, 12th, and 13th May 2025: Threat emails warned of bomb blasts at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, with the 13th May email demanding justice for a rape survivor alongside the blast threat.
- Following investigations, a woman from Ahmedabad was arrested for sending multiple threatening emails to Jaipur authorities in these cases.
- 9th May 2025: Jaipur Metro received a bomb threat via email, explicitly linking the threat to India’s successful Operation Sindoor, a military operation that significantly weakened terror networks in the region. Despite the high alert and search operations, no explosives were found.
The frequency and nature of these threats suggest a deliberate, sustained effort to create panic and disrupt public life in Jaipur, with possible cross-border and sleeper cell involvements.
High-Level Investigation Underway
Following today’s threat, cyber experts from Rajasthan Police’s Cyber Cell have been entrusted with tracing the origin and authenticity of the email. Investigators are also coordinating with intelligence agencies to verify the startling claims about fake passports, LTTE operatives, and potential links to Pakistani handlers.
Senior police officials have neither confirmed nor denied the identity of IPS officer Davidson Devashree Batham, mentioned in the email. However, confidential sources indicate that preliminary inquiries are being made to assess the veracity of these allegations and examine possible misuse of official positions for subversive activities.
Heightened Vigilance Across Rajasthan
The bomb threat has prompted security agencies to heighten surveillance not only in Jaipur but across Rajasthan. Hospitals, metro stations, stadiums, and other public places are being subjected to random security drills and enhanced monitoring. Intelligence inputs suggest that terror outfits may be attempting to exploit vulnerable areas or administrative gaps to execute attacks or spread fear.
Terror Nexus: LTTE, Pakistan, and Fake Passport Racket?
The alleged involvement of former LTTE members, once spearheading a separatist insurgency in Sri Lanka, adds a complex geopolitical dimension to the case. Though the LTTE was militarily decimated over a decade ago, intelligence reports have occasionally flagged concerns over remnants of the group being recruited by foreign agencies, including Pakistan’s ISI, for proxy terror activities in India.
The mention of fake passports being issued through a travel agency linked to an IPS officer, if proven true, points to a serious security breach and deep-rooted conspiracy that could have far-reaching implications for national security.
Public Urged to Stay Calm, Report Suspicious Activity
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and not succumb to panic. Citizens are urged to stay vigilant and immediately report any suspicious objects, persons, or activities to the nearest police station or security helplines.
While today’s threat turned out to be a hoax, the contents of the email and the pattern of recurring threats highlight the need for robust security mechanisms, strict scrutiny of administrative processes, and unwavering public cooperation. जयपुर के ईएसआईसी हॉस्पिटल को आज बम से उड़ाने की धमकी मिली। हॉस्पिटल को अजमल कसाब के नाम से मेल आया था। मेल मिलते ही अस्पताल प्रशासन और सुरक्षा एजेंसियां सतर्क हो गई। सूचना पर पुलिस, फायर ब्रिगेड, बम स्क्वॉड, सिविल डिफेंस और अन्य टीमें मौके पर पहुंच गईं।
पूरे अस्पताल परिसर में तलाशी अभियान चलाया गया, लेकिन संदिग्ध वस्तु नहीं मिली। इसके बाद हॉस्पिटल में सर्च ऑपरेशन बंद कर दिया गया। मेल की जांच साइबर सेल को सौंपी गई है।
धमकी के बाद फायरब्रिगेड की गाड़ियां मौके पर पहुंची।

मेल में लिखा- तमिलनाडु के आईपीएस डेविडसन देवश्री बाथम ने अपनी पत्नी की ट्रैवल एजेंसी के जरिए पूर्व LTTE सदस्यों को फर्जी पासपोर्ट जारी किए हैं। उन्हें पाकिस्तान द्वारा भर्ती किया गया था। उनके पास मोबाइल फोन, रासायनिक खतरे को ट्रिगर करने वाले फ्यूज हैं। फिलहाल, जिस कार में वे यात्रा कर रहे हैं, वह एक ‘बायो बबल’ है। वे चाहते हैं कि अस्पताल में अधिकतम लोगों पर इसका प्रभाव पड़े। अगर उन्हें संदेह हुआ कि योजना काम नहीं करेगी तो वे फ्यूज से विस्फोट कर देंगे। अस्पताल में सीधे नर्व गैस आईईडी को छोड़ देंगे। कृपया एटीएस को सूचित करें। क्योंकि मैं साजिश शामिल था। डेविडसन देवश्री बाथम आईपीएस को फोन करें, उन्हें पता है कि नकली पासपोर्ट किसने जारी किए थे।

जयपुर में बम ब्लास्ट की धमकी का लंबा सिलसिला, अहमदाबाद से महिला हो चुकी गिरफ्तार
8, 12 और 13 मई को सवाई मानसिंह स्टेडियम को उड़ाने की धमकी दी गई थी। इसमें 13 मई को मिले मेल में बम से उड़ाने की धमकी के साथ ही रेप पीड़िता को न्याय दिलाने की मांग की गई थी। इन मामलों में कुछ दिन पहले अहमदाबाद से एक महिला को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया था। शातिर महिला जयपुर में चार-पांच बार धमकी भरे ई-मेल भेज चुकी थी।
9 मई को जयपुर मेट्रो को बम से उड़ने की धमकी मिली थी। जयपुर मेट्रो की मेल आईडी पर ईमेल मिला था। इसमें ऑपरेशन सिंदूर की सफलता के बाद जयपुर मेट्रो स्टेशन और ट्रेन दोनों को उड़ाने की धमकी दी गई थी, लेकिन जांच में कुछ नहीं मिला था।
