Lt Gen Nagendra Singh Interacts with Field Commanders in Bikaner: Focus on Modern Warfare and Tech-Driven Operations

Bikaner: In a significant stride toward future-ready defence preparedness, Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the prestigious Chetak Corps, conducted a high-level interaction with senior field commanders of the Ranbankura Division in Bikaner. The discussions were part of the Indian Army’s ongoing drive to modernize its combat doctrines and embrace technology-led reforms.
This engagement is aligned with the Indian Army’s 2025 twin themes — ‘Year of Technology Absorption’ and ‘Year of Reforms’ — reflecting the military’s commitment to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving global security environment.
During the interaction, Lt Gen Nagendra Singh emphasized the critical importance of incorporating technology into operational planning and battlefield decision-making. He reviewed the integration of computer-based simulation tools that help in real-time scenario analysis and validation of strategies in simulated battlefield conditions.
The commanding officers and staff were encouraged to adopt a forward-thinking approach by leveraging artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital command systems in routine military functions. The GOC stressed that future warfare will not only require physical agility but also technological proficiency and mental flexibility.
“Technology is no longer an add-on but a core part of military operations. Our commanders must be as comfortable with digital tools as they are with traditional combat strategies.” – Lt Gen Nagendra Singh stated during his address.
He appreciated the professionalism, discipline, and tactical awareness of the Ranbankura Division’s officers and soldiers. Highlighting the role of leadership at every level, he urged all ranks to remain vigilant, innovative, and adaptable.
The visit also involved critical discussions on battlefield digitization, enhanced surveillance methods, rapid response mechanisms, and strengthening of operational logistics. The interaction served as a platform to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enabling mid-level commanders to align with the vision of a future-ready, tech-powered Indian Army.

“तकनीक अब एक विकल्प नहीं, बल्कि संचालन की रीढ़ बन चुकी है। हर स्तर पर हमारे सैन्य नेतृत्व को डिजिटल टूल्स के साथ उतना ही सहज होना चाहिए जितना वे पारंपरिक युद्ध रणनीतियों के साथ हैं,” – लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल नागेन्द्र सिंह ने कहा।
उन्होंने रणबांकुरा डिवीजन की टीम की पेशेवर दक्षता, अनुशासन और रणनीतिक सजगता की प्रशंसा की, और सभी को वर्तमान सुरक्षा परिदृश्य में सतर्क, नवाचारी और अनुकूलनीय रहने की सलाह दी।
इस अवसर पर युद्धक्षेत्र डिजिटलीकरण, निगरानी तकनीक, तेज़ प्रतिक्रिया प्रणाली, और संचालन लॉजिस्टिक्स को और अधिक सशक्त बनाने पर भी गहन चर्चा हुई। यह संवाद न केवल नेतृत्व कौशल को मजबूत करने के लिए था, बल्कि यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भी था कि मध्य-स्तरीय कमांडर सेना के तकनीकी भविष्य की दिशा में एकजुट होकर आगे बढ़ें।
