Marwat for swift completion of Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline without fearing ‘sanctions’

Also seeks update about project from government spokesperson

Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) MNA Sher Afzal Marwat welcomed the visit of the Iranian President and stressed Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project should be completed without considering any sanctions for the project.

He was addressing the National Assembly session held under the chair of NA Speaker Sardar Rayaz Sadiq.

“The government spokesperson should answer and share an update about Pak-Iran gas Pipeline project,” adding that he said, “It is necessary to complete the public welfare project soon.”

He argued that gas reserves are continuously decreasing in the country.

The statement came from the senior leader of PTI-backed Sunni Itthehad Council MNA when the Iranian President has reached Karachi as part of three day official visit to Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iran President held joint press conference and vowed to enhance the trade ties along with the border security.
